stripping paint from alloy panel is the hardest part...

not using a sand blast or chemical substances...

just pure guts and will to continue...

INGREDIENT:

1. sandpaper 600 (kasar dia ler)
-used after stripping all the paint using knife.

2. sharp knife.
- be carefull, tips, dont use top end of the knife because will causing "skress"....bend the knife...use middle of it..

3. coca-cola
-u feel tired?...take coke..hehe...as what i am doing.. biggrin.gif

Paint stripper will save you a lot of time stripping the paint. Seams and stuff, and grills are impossibly hard to stripe with sandpaper and wire brush. Spend a wee bit on paint stripper and you will see everything dissolved in 20-30 mins.

Paint stripper are usually water based if not mistaken. After you stripped off the paint, you will want to run it under the water for a prolonged time to rinse off evertyhing. If the paint doesn't stick on bare aluminium, prime it with some primer.

so...i decided to made one...

i cast myself a feet from pure alluminium molten 680 celsius hot..

the mistake is..i take the casting process picture with mobile phone camera...better not to upload it... biggrin.gif

refurbishing the XSPC Rasa cpu waterblock..6,3,1 micron

originally bought as used dull black wb and its badly oxidize...

using the diamond suspension heavy concentrate i rub the surface area of the wb with soft cloth attached to rotating polishing machines..6,3,1 micron details..
begin with 6 micron concentrate..

6 micron diamond concentrate result..

(surface can be polished further more as mirror finish)
remember, do not sand your waterblock using "sand paper"...it is sand dude.. doh.gif
this process takes only a few miligram of the copper from the base of the wb...

Owh...aha...that cpu is in idle....the the temp differ mybe cause by room temp or the polishing effect....thats why its called uncontrolled variables..... icon_idea.gif ..btw thanks....

glue the acrylic using paint thinner...mockup...

using 2 red cold cathode...i place it beside the cutted acrylic sheet that later will be glued on the main sheet of the faceplate...

yes indeed.. that would also provide a great result. but make sure the fans are able to create a good static pressure of air. Ceap n reliable fans so far is the arctic F12..as far as i know

btw...i recommend u to use "autosol" just like toothpaste packing...gold and black packing....beware of "metalsol"...metalsol and autosol is a diffrent grade but the same packing...

some setback...

my second res, EK MULTIOPTION X2 RES 150 got heavy crack...my observation its happen overnight...temperature different....

i change the hot distilled with cold distilled water after doing some stress test on my gc....start with little crack then this... doh.gif

better check inside the cpu block..myb there's something inside caused the low flow..

Done checking...but found nothing than rubber gasket....it seem melt into the water channel...

as far as im concern, thats the cause of low flow..it restricts the flow from inside.. some other cases is that something got stuck inside the rad which also cause low flow.. based on ur setup, D5>480 rad > 240 rad> res..there should be no problem n u should see a great wave inside the res..huhu

Yep....but...i have try remove the rubber seal and clean the wb....start the loop all over again...but my pee pee is more pwrfull....xxx......i suspect mybe the nature of rasa wb with low flow rates.....:-)

no laser thing here...lol....i dont cut clean the vinyl...

i have made new faceplate....blank one...still under testing...

so busy with GE13 biggrin.gif ...lololol....no time with the project yet...
