hi guys
I'm getting an offer for desinging a 40 a4 page magazine mostly in black and white, minimum 8 pages in color... 4 page cover and back cover, 4 pages inside.

Work is involved scanning, some artwork, and probably some small design for certain ads... it is in Persian Language and I can read it so no problem with that.

going to do it in Indesign CS2, illustrator and photoshop.

How much should I reply for the price? mean I just want to know the fair market price.

Thanks

are you a student?

how long have you been in the field?

are your works equivalent to the international print magazines?

these questions should help you find your own suitable pricing.. smile.gif

If you've been doing this quite regularly part time, you could try charging RM50-RM100 per hour with a casual 9 hour working day limit or something.

There isn't an average price because students go about the price war even fiercer than companies. I think any company will make easily 5-10k for a print job like this.
