I use a simple china brand 2600mah (actual rated is around 1000mah) for emergency can charge iphone to around 30-40% and small enough to put in pocket

total damage less than RM50
*
1000mAh should be charging it up to or more than 50% already since your battery is only 1440mAh..?

QUOTE(l4nc3k @ Jan 18 2013, 10:54 PM)
the capacity of iphone5 is 1440mAh. the powerbanks' capacity need to be reduced by around 30% (due to energy loss). do the maths yourself  wink.gif

I would say this is partially true only for unwellknown brand power bank, my energizer XP4003 rated at 4000mAH and I can fully charged my iphone 5 about 3 times....3x1440mAH=4320mAH which exceeded the rated capacity of the powerbank itself....somemore energizer is the only brand which currently offering 3 years warranty...

Well in Yoobao's website I once saw that the efficiency loss can go up to 35% (I hope I read it wrongly)

Anyway I have ordered a YB Magic cube 4400mAh, should be enough for 2 charges. Didn't need that much of power. Just as emergency.

There is some thread selling 12000mAh china brand at RM70 up. My sister used it and it could charge her S3 for 4 times (she said). Sound OK for that price.. biggrin.gif

4400mAh can charge for 2 times or maybe 2.5 for 10% to 100% IIRC
35% efficiency loss is possible, depending on surrounding factors and of course age of the powerbank biggrin.gif

Charge it in front of aircond blast to reduce environmental heat influence thumbup.gif
Twice is more than enough to last my phone until I reach home. And I don't need heavy batteries in my bag tongue.gif

The original one comes with a 3 pin plug to charge the PB and some accesories (Micro USB, Micro USB to 30 pin etc etc) but I am not sure abiut BT headsets etc (if it has a MicroUSB charging port it shout work). It comes with 2 charging port (1A and 1.5A I think, so for the iPad or iPhone, you need to use the higher ampere slot)

The one you described was the "original local" set obtained from the sole distributor. There are also some real genuine "original china" set produced by yoobao and imported straight by sellers without modifications. Yoobao also provide OEM/ODM services to produce for other companies. Of course they are other fakes too. Some prices quoted are too high I think.

Power banks should have very high profit margin. So if you can get a way to import original yoobao directly you may be selling at a real low price while being unbelievably genuine. Judgement is up to buyers afterall. Seen some selling at really low proce and customers proved them genuine from yoobao china.

I got two.. One Mili and one yoobao.. I love yoobao capacity but its too big and heavy in some ocassion.. Hence sometime i love my mili as its small and easier to bring to club..
*
If weight is a problem, can consider smaller mAh so it's less heavy. Mine is 4400 mAh magic cube. Love the design and the size, and yes I am a lazy person to bring heavy things tongue.gif
The only downside is that the magic cube comes with glossy finish so it now has smudges all over it. unsure.gif

i have try using yoobao magic cube 10400mAh and the condition really great... my 1st fully charged for this powerbank really fast around 5hour... but i charged this powerbank using adapter 5V:2A (galaxy tab charger usb), is it will become any problem or faulty to power bank? becoz this power bank input only can receive 5V:1.2A.....
*
2A will increase the speed by almost twice the intended input. From what I was reading it will result in a faster charge of course but the battery will drain faster if charged at higher amperage. Something like that, but I can't really recall.

Both eneloop & yoobao offers 1mA charge isnt it?

The yoobao magic cube looks ok to me too
*
Some YB offers 2 ports - 1A and 2A but not the magic cubes.

I own a 4400mAh magic cube. Love it except the smudges on the glossy surface!
For iPhone, 1A is enough. But my sister found it hard to get S3 charged with 1A.

@mirrorstore. She sells Yoobao directly from China YB factory/store. You can consider. I got mine from here.

But if you want the mobiledotcom sticker then :/

I verified mine as original from the YB webby.

Mine is a Pineng PN-929 15,000 mAh unit (RM 90). Serves the purpose well, with the % battery left that keeps me updated on whether to charge the power bank. Used <20% to charge my iPhone 5 full.

For mobility I use Yoobao Magic Cube 4,400 mAh. Been having it for a year plus and still serving me well at work.
