Hi! I'm new here. Can I flash the romow extreme ROM to my xxdma 5 firmware?
*
Yes , you can. Need to wipe caches partition, dalvik cache and wipe data/factory reset first before installing the flash zip file

wokei, finish experimenting flashing here there, now facing minor problems,  i need some advise, from origin xalj3 i've rooted, & flash twrp, do a nandroid backup, flash romov custom rom, and then flash again to dlk7, stuck with system status and custom binary download at modified, left no choice, flash back stock recovery, still the same, and lastly wipe/factory reset at stock recovery, and re-flash dlk7, finally got into both system status and current binary is official, and normal, but the custom binary download is remained at Yes (1 counts), so what should i do next? root again, and run triangle away 2.6?
*
My advise to you , DON'T bother about flash counter and system is modified
It is purely wasting time trying to rectify this
For what purpose ??
This is not going to affect your phone performance at all
Unless you decide to sell phone or sent in warranty than just use triangleaway to clear flash counter and use Odin in PC to flash stock rom to get back everything to normal

u r using the new bootloader. cant reset binary count to 0 at the moment.

if u want u can always flash back the old bootloader. unroot and try reset back the counter to 0.
*
I am on new bootloader since LL7 and now on UBDDLL3 and have no problem using trangleaway 2.60 to reset counter to zero and rom status as official ( in download mode)
But as i have said earlier all these tasks is unnecessary as it does not affect performance. I test it just to proof it can be done

yup i know. i did it once b4 the 4.1.2 update and manage to reset it. i fully understand how it works. So in the near future if something were to happen(no way) at least i know what to do.

what puzzles me is that there are some(read few threads from xda) using custom roms yet manage to get counter 0 with other things official.

i manage to get my status as normal but everything in download mode is custom.  hmm.gif
really urge me to dig more info in xda tongue.gif

Use triangleaway 2.6 and it will be official in download mode but at settings /about phone it will still show modified

if you dont bother about the warranty then just ignore it as for me I do concern about the warranty that is why resetting the counter to 0 and having system status to Normal is vital
*
This is just purely self satisfaction only. You can "cheat" the counter staff but if the tech wants to void your warranty they can still dig out your flashing records.
I have sent in 5 times past 3 years to Samsung with phones obviously rooted/flash with custom rom ( one time even booting up with yellow triangle) warranty is still honour and all services done FOC. 4 times at previous Plaza Berjaya and last time at Lowyat
I always said once you start the route to root/flash be always be mentally prepared warranty is void. If you are not prepared for this eventuality dont bother root/flash. There are cases where user tried to cheat through clearing flash counters, re flashing to stock roms and yet warranty is void. So depend on your luck

I only look forward to Note 3 with its reported massive 6.3 in display.
I will have no problem fitting in my pockets as I can easily fit my nexus7 n previous tab 7.7 in my side pockets
To hell with what others might say about the size. Already got used to 5.5.

I just rooted my phone using the CF Auto Root by Chainfire. It was successful. When I install cwm with rom manager, and I try to boot back into recovery, the stock recovery apperars instead of cwm.I also tried this with goo manager and the same thing happens...I am in the 4.1.2 XXDMA5 firmware. Please help?
*
Don't use Rom manager to install CWM as is not fully compatible with Note2
Try post 4 method to root cum install CWM same time. Just need a minute only

Do I have to unroot and root again using the post 4 method?
*
No need
Just flash the single root cum CWM file with Odin in pc

hey..anyone is using maxis surfplan on note 2?. as i browse through previous thread some of you guys can get speed up to 7-9mbps with full Hsdpa+. im using digi only gets around 1mb+ with Hsdpa and thinking want to port over to maxis since they offered the 50/75 plan with only throttling down once exceed quota. (but still worried of bill shock since maxis very famous of it)  whats your opinion? smile.gif
*
No problem on MAXIS
DIGI does not support h+ . Lucky you can get consistent 1 mbps
No more bill shock issue from MAXIS
Above limit throttle down no charge
Hit 80% you get sms warning

Hey I tried looking up for task manager icon. I know that holding down the hime button to access the task manager..
But then I cant find any widgets to use.. does it mean that everytime you wann kill apps you must long press the home button..
Is there any other way?? Home button may spoil faster right?? Dont you think??
*
First time using android ??
No need bother about killing tasks
Google why is not necessary n waste of time/resources
Especially with 2gb ram
It will only worsen battery life
