Agreed. I think if it was just a small sliver of high resolution display separate from the main screen to show alerts will be useful. Otherwise, if some smart*ss marketing dude decides that "lets include that (1920 x 40) x 2 pixels as part of the total screen resolution, and lets market this as a 1920 x 1080 CURVED display" campaign, sorry I'm not buying that.
Flexible screen as in a slight curve to say you have a flexible screen is bs. That's what LG liked to do....market the hell out of every tiny little modification (swivel camera, pink colored variant etc). Flexible screen like a properly foldable device per your pic is good. Well, there was that 7" Toshiba Libretto W100 with dual 1024x600 screen that used to a nerd's wet dream, but was too damned expensive.

Just one thing bugging me is the size of the Note 2. While it's great for reading and browsing, i will probably need to carry it around in my handbag. Anyone can comfortably carry it in your jeans? i doubt so....

And why is getting a Note 2 better than getting a Galaxy III (apart from the drawing pen)?

bro the ladies are usually not interested in the numbers.  you need to tell a compelling story around the numbers otherwise it normally does not make sense to them.

MOST girls I know choose iphone due to 1 reason ; fashion statement . Look at all the cases available for iphones and look at what we have ? How many guys actually bother buying a Prada , Hermes , Gucci phone pouch for their iphones ? How many bling bling case do we have for our android phones ? Some don't even have 1 . Simplicity ? Trying close a few apps from iphones and do it on android . All we do is long press home > dustbin it ..... Iphones ? Double tap home button ( i think ) , long press the icons and click to close 1 by 1 .  If i got many apps open mah die

iphone long press call siri out,......2 press switch program.
iphone press out exit program...android also same wat... press home button also exit and back to home screen.

also i'm bit confused coz everywhere i hear ppl complaining that android phones battery can't last long.....

i thought iphone battery was the worst.....i barely have enough to last the day....

so which is correct? Android drains more power or iphone? Share your experiences....(p/s: assume only make say 10 calls a day, minor surfing, check email, no heavy games, a bit of facebooking and social networking)

I'm having problems with digi network at my house, no signal at all, with iphone still can get 1 bar.

Already complaint to digi but always the same reply: your phone problem

like digi always say ITS TIME TO CHANGE. On maxis this are the speeds i am getting. I been enjoying maxis without issue no signal problem, no slow connection problem. Maxis its a smarter choice. So if u ask me switch to digi to pay less to suffer is a really no no furthermorr maxis now exceed bandwidth will only throttled

Maxis line suck to the max in my place, no signal also. i got a maxis broadband which can get at least 5MB when i'm out of my house.

I'd call myself a note 2 newbie. Just got myself a note 2 from Samsung centre at KLCC like couple weeks ago.

Been trying to comprehend all the complicated discussions here but didn't resolve any of my queries.

1. Do you guys use a GPS application for the note? Eg. Garmin etc. If you do, any idea which shop selling good reliable one?
2. What are the must get applications that you guys have in common for the Note 2?
