maybe this have been covered before here, but i need to confirm something about the DIGI T&C of zero contract for N4.

If I want to purchase the phone using zero contract, can I terminate the line immediately after signing up (and pay the RM100 on the spot)? Because I don't want the hassle of going back to DIGI center later to terminate the line. The price will be around the same as buying from HOTSPOT, but I don't need to go KL to use my credit card, just use it in DIGI center.

Thanks.

Yes you can, but you still have to pay the 1st month subscription fee (RM68) IINM
*
that means RM1499 + 68 + 100 = 1667 correct? still cheaper than me taking a trip to KL. lol! thumbup.gif

Digi? No 3G terus. thinking of terminating DiGI at the end of the month  blink.gif
*
yeah, Umobile definitely pawns digi. some places even Maxis and Celcom, because my wife is using Umobile in Ipoh and i'm using both maxis and celcom, got a few major deadspots in Ipoh for both of them, whereas Umobile has good 3g coverage almost 99% of all Ipoh. digi? even hot shopping centers don't have coverage, not to mention when u go indoors, die immediately.

Wan ask...Android 4.2.2 those in Digi units solve the battery problem?

Also wan ask the owners... n4 still got usb mass storage or not? I see that feature not supported by newer phones like sgs3 and note2, which I feel kinda weird since that's the easiest way to transfer files into the phone especially the n4 does not have external storage anymore.
*
i think N4 using NTP for file transfer. but most of us if got wifi, just use wifi file explorer to transfer them, easy and fast, no need cable also

he should have known better. it's standard procedure to make a nandroid backup and wipe everything before flashing a new rom. it's either he downloaded a corrupted file or he missed some simple flashing steps.

until the next 1080p 13mp quaddy 2gb ram comes out. oh wait, already out, and garage sales already have people re-selling n4s.  laugh.gif
*
couldn't give 2 shxts about ppl selling their N4. i'm planning to use mine for at least 3 years before even considering getting the next nexus. my DHD already in it's 3rd year, if HTC didn't screw us in the back of not giving us updates, i'll still use it until Nexus 5 comes out. but since i've been craving for a LG Nexus for so long (been talking about it for YEARS), it's time for the DHD to retire. Lets hope the next Nexus will be made by Moto, then it'll be time for my wife to change her phone.

p.s: weird, usually when 2 post by the same user will auto combine into 1, not this time....

Not rich bro in order to protect my baby phone  have no choice sad.gif

and also maybe after 2-3 years  i can sell my phone like brand new  biggrin.gif
*
no u won't, after 2-3 months u will be annoyed by that bloody SP and got rid of it, then use the glass naked. that's what i did with all my previous phones. trust me, once u have tried the naked glass feel (after using SP for a while), u won't be using any SP again.

ps: after 2-3 years this phone will be worthless, so no point in selling it.

Asking from fellow N4 user, is worth upgrading from Gnex to Nexus 4..?? In term of performance I know N4 perform better but how about the usage and functionality..dont it look like same with Gnex.. I'm in dilemma now..
*
if u r super rich then the answer is yes, definitely worth it. if u r not rich (which i assume u aren't) then no, just wait till N5. or if u have a family member who are in dire need of a smartphone, then u can give your gnex to him / her, then buy yourself the N4

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Jan 18 2013, 01:56 AM)
Naked is definitely awesome until I got one long scratch on my SII doh.gif From then on, SP all the way man and please get a good quality SP like SGP  thumbup.gif
*
good quality or no good quality also the same. the feel of the touch is gone once u applied any SP. basically i just don't care, if scratch just buy new phone. but usually won't have scratch since i'm a careful user, never once dropped my phone. did once put the phone on the tarmac to use the torch light to check underside of the car, no scratches at all for the gorilla glass

Wah.. u very confident your gorilla glass will not scratch. referring my experience, Gorilla glass did scratch bro. the main disadvantage of gorilla glass is cannot stand the scratch from sand particle. with small send particle hidden in your pocket, can make a lot of scratch.
I think @radiokilla using Peotic Borderline bumper.
*
it's not the confidence, it's how u protect it. i put it on tarmac only, didn't rub it on the floor, so no scratches, if i rub it, the glass will be destroyed. Also I clean my pockets every time i put my hand in it, flipping it inside out to clear any dust in it, and only put the phone inside, nothing else. that's how i maintain my phone's glass without SP

So the lack of micro SD slot makes it worthwhile to get this phone? U guys using alot of space in the built-in storage?
*
even if u put 1000 songs, 2 high end games, 1 navigation app, and tons of other apps also won't use all the space. vanilla android is very light weight, don't take up much of that 16gb storage for OS, unlike other UI. just don't put 1080p movies if you plan on putting anything else, u r just being an idiot by doing so, that's why human beings created streaming software.

as previous member said it is rm68 + rm100 to terminate..total is rm168...and then if i bear for 3 months = rm68*3 = rm204. mean i pay rm36 more to get can be said as FREE broadband for 3 months...so in my preferences...i choose bear for 3 months...lol...although i hate digi.. sad.gif

how do u guys substituting the power button using the volume button to switch on the display?
*
i don't know about stock rom (last i saw, don't have this function), but some custom roms (e.g. CM10) has this function (which i'm using now on my O2X and DHD)

personally, i'd rather pay DIGI the RM100 charge to terminate the plan immediately, rather than suffer it's stupid coverage (would be doing so tomorrow when I go buy my N4)

Hd games does take spaces..

1 game only takes 400-500mb mah....if u install 2, only around 1GB. no big deal, u still have 13gb left. if u don't like the game, just uninstall it lah. my DHD only uses 16gb sdcard, for 2 years + still hasn't use all the space yet.

to those of you who are considering taking the zero contract and use the plan for 1 month, i urge u to remember to get the termination letter from digi once u terminate the plan. there are a lot of users who (previously) didn't get the letter from them are facing black list issues with digi because the staff didn't key in or update the system that u have terminated it.

digi would not give any receipts / bills or any kind of communication (no calls, no sms) when your plan is still in effect, u must check with them yourselves whether there are any last payments for termination. They will directly black list you, so next time when u want to sign plan or buy zero contract phones from them, u can't, until u settle that amount. the scary part is, u won't know until u go and check how much u owe them. sometimes only less than RM100, sometimes after a long time, the bill can amount to 1k.

that's y i recommend you guys NOT to use 1 month, just terminate on the spot, pay the monthly fee + early termination charge (RM100) and be done with it. Remember to GET THE TERMINATION LETTER and check all the details (full name, ic etc) before getting the heck out of the digi outlet.

this is how our 'beloved' telco do business...cheating on it's customers.

Compared to GNex, it's quite difficult to to get sharp photo even in good lighting condition.

With the stock charger, it should be around two hours plus if you leave it untouched.

Btw, those with the wireless charging mat, how is the charging rate? True, i do believe that the number of nexus lover is growing. I have 'converted' a few of my friends to the nexus camp since the Gnex, even they also have started to prefer Nexus only. I guess they understand the advantage of having a Nexus. fast update is worth it IMO. And it is better for those who are looking at using their phone for two years or more. For me, nexus will give you the best bang for your bucks if you are looking to use it for twoyears or more.

i can do 1 better, i converted my entire family, lol
