how unuser friendly is Gnex compared to Nexus 4 ?

Its like saying Sony's Windows 8 is not as user friendly as Asus's Windows 8.

Let me know how much you are letting it go tongue.gif interested

I guess he was comparing ICS with JB.

Sensor a bit senget. I thought this would be fixed on newer phones, compared to my GNex. *sigh*

I had issue connecting to WPA2 routers. (posted in V3)

If it was set to both WPA/WPA2 it wont connect.
If it was set to ONLY WPA2 it wont connect.

If it was set to ONLY WPA then OK no issues.

See whether are you having similar issues to me

Bandwidth = 20Mhz

No other issues I had with my laptop, N7 or Sensation with the previous setup of WPA/WPA2.

This one confirm no problem. laugh.gif

Bro, how long battery life were you expecting? I did not able to get this battery life when i was using my iPhone 4 smile.gif

Junk alert! laugh.gif

I used iFoong4 with similar setup to my GNex (except Latitude) last time. It gave me 1.5 days on 3G + wifi.

Backup from S2 and restored to N4 yesterday using Android File Transfer. The transfer rate is damn high. thumbup.gif

Guys, i just tried fondling the N4 at the digi store just now. Under bright sun light and the screen is off, i noticed there is a pattern underneath the touch panel. Some sort like a touch panel circuit.

Is it a defect? cos it's very obvious when the screen is off. It makes the screen looks cheap when the phone display is turned off due to the visible circuit.

There were S3 and Ip5 side by side and those 2 are not noticable. I'm just wondering if the same thing for other N4s as well?

Other than that, the N4 feels good and solid on my hands and is waay faster and smoother than the S3  thumbup.gif

That is the digitiser. I have made known about this issue back in V2, but nobody seems to care, cause I was comparing it with GNex. I guess many fanboys in denial. laugh.gif

It is always best to prolong battery life at around 0.5C charging rate, 2A output is about 1.0C charging rate for a 2100mAh battery. 1.0C charging rate will give u twice as fast the charging speed but the battery won't last long. ipad is designed to be charged at such high current because it has a hi capacity battery.

What is the best/suitable charging current for Nexus 4?
2100mAh x 0.5C = 1050/1.05A

LG included a travel adapter rated 1.2A(0.6C) output for slightly better charging speed and it's still within the acceptable range.

What the heck is "C" (charge rate?)? Is it part of the V=IR equation?

Close up of the rear. Can't get a nice shimmering shot, no lighting setup.

With SP? If yes, you applied it damn well. Good job son.

Nope, it's naked.

There isn't any SP that cover the whole front glass yet, right? I'm looking for 1 though, not for myself. tongue.gif

oh my.. maybe this is what crayzee have been saying after all..

then i've to say there were no such 'circuit-like' lines underneath the display of Gnex.
*
Yup, Sammy is pretty good with their screens which has non-visible digitiser. Even on their tablets, while other tablets were haunted with very obvious digitiser (the worst I have seen was Asus Transformer, 1st gen).

oh, maybe this is what i've been seeing on my sis' DHD.. a digitiser eh..? i thought only resistive touch panel have visible digitiser.. but i dont quite remember whether my old Sensation have this prob or not.

oh yes, while at it, i dont know whether this question have been answered previously or not, is it true that the N4 is a bit slow in registering touch? i saw a video showing zoom in n zoom out on both Gnex n N4 n the Gnex responded immediately but the N4 is a split second slower in registering the gesture..
*
Noooope. The digitiser works just fine.

Try it yourself. Only certain apps not functioning properly, doesn't make the digitiser lesser than other devices' digitisers. Otherwise, enable the show touch marker in Developer Options.

hey guys, since most of you guys here were hardcore google fans, do you think photosphere will make its way to other high end phones?
*
Frankly, I couldn't care less. I guess I won't be getting any other brand of phones aside from future Nexi.

Besides, not sure if PhotoSphere is open sourced. laugh.gif

Anyone notice the focusing on N4 is kinda hit or miss?

Compared to GNex, it's quite difficult to to get sharp photo even in good lighting condition.

yeah i noticed that.  especially when taking very near objects
*
If it closer than the MFD, then it's user's fault. But sometimes, taking snapshot of distanced object also can't focus properly. Ended up having few photos just to be sure.

QUOTE(billy_overheat @ Jan 21 2013, 09:42 PM)
Plus, the exposure with flash sucks. Tried messing with setting and yeah, not good. Lol
*
I can still accept the flash exposure. Were you taking close ups?

I guess the camera is only good for PhotoSphere? sweat.gif

Did anyone of you know that you can make the PhotoSphere targetting frame bigger by pinch to zoom? So that it's easier to align your shots? thumbup.gif

No idea why it's smallest in size by default. I wonder if there's a hack that default it to the maximum size instead.

None of you have problem with the contacts, where JB just simply Join contacts of irrelevant people into 1?

I keep missing people, later only found out they have been Joint automatically. doh.gif
