That's why I said I'm not sure if the phone or the charger is at fault. Still exploring the phone. I'm afraid there's something or some app that's putting the phone in deep sleep that stops the charging. This is just my assumption.

And one thing, when I put the N4 on top of my pouch, it does not charge. If I put in the pouch then it'll charge.  rclxub.gif

my battery life still wont reach 2 hour screen on time .. even im on xylon + franco kernel ..
maybe because of im always changing from WCDMA prefered to WCDMA only .. where it will hog up battery to find better 3G signal ..

if any1 who doesnt know how to switch to 3G only u can access to its hidden settings
go to Dialer > press *#*#4636#*#* > phone infomation

thanks for the info. thumbup.gif

First day using Franco r34. Not very satisfy with the result. Sad. maybe after recharge couple times will get a better result.

Left the phone idle last night at 59%, woke up at 7, battery level dropped to 39%. Urghh!
Now recharge again.

what rom you are on? and you are on wifi or network when in idle? cos i'm using Minco rom + franco r34, and idle performance is great, almost a straight line like benny888 posted.

well. i dont see any unsmooth on PA. but i never try Minco. perhaps the kernel determine the smoothness of the roms. just my 2 cents. icon_rolleyes.gif
1 and a half day. still got 15%. can get another hour on screen. laugh.gif

my best skin ever and ever finally arrived. after 3 weeks waiting and using out of the box "screen protector" tongue.gif
Just flash back to _motley exp:b17 kernel since after 2 days using franco r34, i feel r34 laggy. Answering phone calls also lag a bit. Quadrant also only can get 3K plus. After flashing motley this is what i get:

and all the lags gone.very smooth. any comparison guys?

just read about cpu binning, share here:

QUOTE
Basically, when Qualcomm makes the APQ8064 chip that you see in our Nexus 4, there are 4 different "types" based on how it meets their quality standards. These are Slow, Nominal, Fast, and Faster. The main difference IIRC between these types is how stable each can handle undervolting. CPUs that are "Fast" for example come pre-configured at a lower nominal voltage than a "Nominal" type CPU, and more so than a "Slow" type. (Does this account for how some people's phones generate less heat? Maybe, maybe not. IIRC, there's like only a -100mV difference between Faster and Slow out of the box, however Faster CPUs should be able to handle lower voltages than Slow-type.)

To find out what binned CPU you have, I recommend the following:

YOU MUST BE ROOTED!

1) Install Terminal Emulator

2) Reboot your phone

3) Open Terminal Emulator, and type:

Code:
su
dmesg | grep PVS

A line should be outputted that tells you what type you have.

maybe everyone can test, and post result here?

I wanted to leave everything at its original state at first, but the battery life was quite short. I plan on rooting it and flashing it. What rom and kernel will you guys suggest? I have no idea which to use.

QUOTE(azrash @ Jan 18 2013, 03:20 PM)
tbh, the stock charger included doesn't play well with my other cables.

this is based on my not so scientific review using battery monitor widget pro.

maybe some can test this too?  blush.gif
stock LG charger + LG stock cable = 800mA

stock LG charger + ciplak OEM cable =500mA

stock LG charger + pro signal high quality USB cable(2 metres long) = 500mA
my old HTC charger + LG stock cable =800mA

my old HTC charger + ciplak OEM cable =650mA

my old HTC charger + pro signal high quality USB cable(2 metres long) = 800mA stable
using blackberry charger = 800mA stable

SO i decided to keep the LG charger in the box and just use my old HTC charger.
*
what do you mean by stable, and how to determine which charger is good? tq notworthy.gif
more output, better??
