Come on Wenger, wake up, go get Kaka, Sneidjer....they will boos shirts and merchandise sales, board can still make money out of it

QUOTE(kae7 @ Jan 15 2013, 01:41 AM)
Sigh, I don't think those top players want to play for Arsenal

Even if we are willing to pay some hefty amount to get them, they still won't come to Arsenal.

Why? Arsenal isn't an attractive club anymore,
Since we sell RVP(which is the top scorer of EPL last season), there are no influential player in Arsenal.
Podolski? No, Giroud? No, Even Walcott and Wilshere also is not the players that can influence big names to play with Arsenal.

I believe those top player doesn't care much about money, they just want the good team with the good player...

We already lost in battle to get David Villa(Barca didn't want to release him)

Tbh, it is not 100% Arsene's fault that Fabregas, Thierry Henry, RVP, Nasri were being sold, those players just aren't so loyal to Arsenal. They didn't think Arsenal is a big club. If they think Arsenal is the big/best club they won't go for another team

Henry? Yes Henry... He is not as loyal Bergkamp, but the situation of Henry is much similar to RVP, Henry want to go to Barcelona, RVP go to Manchester United, Reason, to go for a better club

Still remember Ajax Amsterdam? We are exactly having problems like them, selling top players to'better and bigger' clubs
*
QUOTE(undentifyxd @ Jan 15 2013, 02:03 AM)
haish gervinho scored 2 goals.... another sign of arsene will not buy anyone this transfer window
*
QUOTE(kimhoong @ Jan 15 2013, 04:29 AM)
I remember we had similar discussion long time back.

Football is a sport, a form of entertainment that some ppl like us enjoy playing/watching/investing/getting attached to/etc... ultimately, it's a form of medium that one should enjoy.

When the time comes that one has 100% lost hope on the club he/she supports (and the club does not seem to react to his/her needs), it's time to move on.

Each individual has different preference, different objectives/ambitions, different level of patience, etc.

For me, I enjoy supporting Arsenal. I do admit that we are heading south way at the moment and the club does not react to this fact seriously and fast enough. Some may think I'm stupid to continue enjoying this bond with Arsenal blindly, but for me, this bond will only get stronger AFTER the ups and the downs. It's hard to explain it, just grab a Spencer Johnson book - "Peaks and Valleys" and read it wink.gif
Don't get me wrong. I'm not a saint. I do curse and swear when Arsenal plays badly. That's part of football! But I will leave this behind and move on because there are more important matches ahead.
So guys,

Enjoy your game (whatever/however yours is)
*
QUOTE(aladdin @ Jan 15 2013, 06:06 AM)
If the clube (BOD/AW) have a real ambition, please do something. Financial is important, but fulfill fans' dream is important as well.

If our goal is finish 3rd/4th, and qualify for ECL, can BOD/AW stop shooting loud we will challenge for the title.

The Sun reported QPR had signed both Loic Remy n MVilla for a reported 8m & 7m. Quite a good bargain price imo. Look like we had chances to see MVilla in action for EPL. But still wonder y we dint go for this guy especially at 7m is usually at our spending budget for a player.
