In conclusion, the lessons learned from this experience are;
1. Always read the contract before signing (including the fine print)
- From the contract you should know your salary including allowances
- Your contracted working hours
- Leave amount per annum (any clauses that if taking leave would affect your allowance)
2. Ask a lot of questions during the interview especially work culture, average working hours, location you are based at.
You would definitely have no obligation to do anything for the company if you have not signed any contracts.
