smile.gif Hai everyone,

As many have known in this forum, I am a semi-retired chef and getting a bit fidgety nowadays. I am bored! blush.gif

In passing my time, I have been doing many things, recreational and am enjoying it but also I also do some cooking part time (replacing chefs for a few days) but I found out that when I bake some home made chicken pies, they get great praises. I was doing it for my daughter's pot luck party one day and I had orders for a few hundred from one of the party attendees. I have so far done a few times already but so far I have only made a little out of it. I also like to keep my current lifestyle so I don't want to get fully tied up again.

SO, HERE'S THE PROPOSAL!

blush.gif I admit I am a good cook BUT I am a lousy book keeper! In all my ventures, be it cafes, cafetarias, hawker stalls I don't last more than 2 years. I spend more than I make because I play even harder! blush.gif I can bake the pies at home and I can even invest in my own commercial ovens, mixers and equipments if there's demand off course. To make it more competitive, I am also experimenting with chilly beef with beans, our very own beef rendang, curry chicken with potato( I make a mean curry chicken) other than the usual shepards. I was also pondering on pasta pies, you know pasta within a pie for easy eating. I have seen stalls in Midvalley selling for a ludicrous RM6 to RM7 for each and , sorry for boasting, I make better tasting ones.

So, if there's someone, who thinks they can market it, we can combine our expertise to sell it. I will not be involve in your part of the operation, it's totally yours while my kitchen part is totally mine. How we agree on this part needs further discussion, off course. I don't care if you start a kiosk in a shopping mall, open a stall in a wet market or sell it online, that's totally your decision. I will only handle the kitchen. I can't call it supplying as I will also need your feedbacks on the pies. I can make as little as 9 pies ( that's how many a ready made plastic container can hold ) and if demands goes higher, I can get my own commercial ovens and mixers ( I mix my own puff pastry too ), so it will not smudge each others investment. Please also note, I only will joint venture with only (ONE) party. This makes it simpler.

So, if you think this will work, PM me here and leave your number. We need to sit over coffee and clear all doubts. rclxms.gif

P/S. I making a batch today, so maybe I will post pictures of it later.

A food tasting is no problem, need to make a date but a LYN gathering? I only want someone (only one) to market. Contractual means there's a fix amount to be supplied. No problem on my side actually. When I said only one, it means I already have all the necessary ingredients ready and can whip it up in 2 hours ( a maximum amount needs to be discussed again ). Let me know if you want to have coffee over this. icon_rolleyes.gif

yup, you see... it's not so much of business man choosing you, you also can choose potential business partner what.

As I said, I am a lousy businessman but it's like one house that I was viewing the other day. The house owner arranged all her potential clients at the same time and we have like 8 prospective house seekers mingling in the house like a launching! rclxub.gif In the end, none of us actually wanted the house. I don't really like it that way, I would prefer a one to one meeting. We can try to accommodate each other's condition and if we succeed ,it's a better understanding mutually rather than trying to outdo each other. nod.gif

house is different, some 'potential customers are agent themselves' never arrange all at once like that.
what is the worst it could be some LYN gathering ppl could be another baker? if u believe in your product taste good then would be interested to see how we can work things out.

this is home-made stuff or got halal one?

Home made stuff but no pork but that's kinda hard to convince. Not really worried about other bakers though because mine is a bit old skool type. They don't do like the I do anymore. If one can remember those pies sold in Cold Storage in the 80s, it tasted just like those. I am kind of old fashion anyway.

I support your venture. Maybe I don't venture out often to get decent affordable pies around KV. I missed my pie days when I'm at OZ. Delicious!

Round type, rectangle type. Yummy beef and potato pies.
