After rectifying the issue, they told me i'm eligible for 1:1 exchange on the spot with a new device.
Then they asked for my warranty card which is suppose to be attached to the clearwrap on the box of the 5S .
I remembered clearly the guy from the digi outlet i bought from unboxed it for me and never gave me the white sticker on the 5s box.
He told me to wait till Monday, as they will contact digi HQ to check.
I don't understand why there's so much trouble when the IMEI is clearly written in their system upon purchase ( I saw them do the procedure ) .
Date of purchase, serial no matches what I have.
Disappointed really. But i'll wait till monday to hopefully receive some good news, else i'll be stuck with a faulty device with no warranty.
