First of all, congrats on V6! few days never log in and already new version!!! 

next, dunno if some of you remember but i promised to put up some pics of the S9 minifigs so here they are.

got them all picit-picit under 2 hours with only the full set picture saved in iphone 

so anyway, i'm not sure how many of you here are going to attempt the picit2 process for S9, (after 9 series i'm sure most will just opt to buy the full set rather than spend time in TRU or lego shops picit-ing for all 16 figures  ) but here are some tips anyway if you're gonna try. Or even go through your full box to separate them into sets.
(*note: nothing's more satisfying than cutting open the package and getting all your guesses right, to be honest...)

Series 9 Minifigs Guessing Tips

1) The Waiter - Feel for the bottle and tray
2) Cylops - Feel for the club. Easy to spot.
3) The Hollywood Diva - Feel for the skirt (gonna be tricky cos there are 3 girls in the series that has the triangular bottom then find the hair and trophy
4) The Heroic Knight - Feel the sword or shield
5) The Roman Emperor - Square Tile
6) The Policeman - handcuffs
7) Chicken Suit Guy - Feel the body with attached flaps
8) The Roller Derby Girl - Find the skates and helmet
9) The Fortune Teller - triangle skirt and 2 card tiles. Hair also quite significant, if you're not sure
10) The Judge - judge's hammer and rubber wig
11) The Alien Avenger - easiest would be to find the gun cos he's the only one with it
12) Mermaid - mermaid tail just like s7's ocean king
13) Battle Mech - body armor (a bit tricky to feel) and square-ish helmet
14) Mr Good and Evil - Find the bottle/jar like S4 scientist
15) The Forest Maiden - triangular skirt and bow, additionally the shield
16) The Plumber - plunger (the plunger head is made of rubber so its easy to feel

There you go. Hope that helps.

So tempted to get S1 minifigs, although I already have 2 (which I got from the Brick Calendar hahahah). It's because of the Zombie that the price of S1 are so expensive    . Whatever it is, I'm almost fully satisfied having to collect all S2-S9 minifigs already

So that's all so far for year 2013... I still have 3 modular buildings yet to be built. Haven't got the time (and space to put them all!) to do them but I will when I can. Hand very itchy. LOL.

Thank God I have no interest in the Super Heroes theme. Some pretty hardcore stuff this year... But the vehicles are quite awesome so if anyone wants to let go of the car in this 76002 set in the future, do PM me. Could use a nice car like this in my city. Haha.

I do not think it is due to the fact that TLG has a factory in China, it is more like those manufacturers in China can copy ANYTHING. It does not require rocket science nowadays to make a precision plastic injection machine to produce parts like Lego.

encouraged by bro kaneshiro's work on batman's tumbler couple of weeks back, decided to try building one for myself as well 

ordered bricks from 3 different sellers in BL, 2 of them from europe.







the tumbler looks real cool, but i was kinda disappointed because the cockpit can't really fit a minifig that sits upright. either the fig's arm is blocked by the tumbler's a pillar, or the hatch can't fully close without the fig seated in a 45 degrees position.

anyway, it's still a cheaper way to have the tumbler, which is one of my favorite sci-fi vehicles 

experience that i think is worth sharing: the hardest part to get is actually the black color windscreen. it is not included in too many sets, costs a lot in BL, and lego customer service don't have that particular part in stock for replacement. might consider painting that 3 pieces black someday..

I think the only Sideshow 12 inch figure I have is the LOTR Aragorn figure.

It's not too late. You can still save yourself! For me, 12 inch figures are killing me. I collect Hot Toys, PS3 games and Blu-ray.

Occasionally some other stuff catches my eye and I'm screwed!
