Lol, but spending 40+ on fake goods, you can live with it? tongue.gif I but MEGA Block at 70% also feel sakit hati.

There are several KO bricksets brands in local market. I have purchased Elightened sets a few to allow my kid to play. Its a good start and wont feel bad if parts go missing. Also priced resonable for custom and kitbash.

Havent tried COGO and the one with a baby logo yet.

But in my opinion, Elightened better than BEST-LOCK brand which I also spotted they released the Terminator and TERMINATOR 2 sets....dem horrible. Worst minifig rendition I had ever seen. These sets can be spotted at Parkson and Metrojaya.

MEGABLOK bricks are tough but most parts have "wave pattern" on them. As if they were not mixed/ stirred properly during production... biggrin.gif

If for kids ok la, but not for own collection. Haha.

But hey, even though is fake but the price still not so cheap right for some set. Still have to teach them how to take good care of their things.

I only bought them from MR DIY. Some Mr DIY outlets have KO Lego brand at lower price as compared with other stationery shops, pasar malam or fake toys stall/ kiosks.

These sets comes with extra parts too.

Once my kid mastered and know how to keep his brick toys tidy, then I let him deflower my other LEGO sets.

TLG bosses should come and visit Malaysia and go walk about the Lego retails places here in Malaysia, they will probably puke.
They probably thought that we Malaysians can't afford it, or market is small.
Wonder how big the parallel market is ?

Even if the LEGO collector market and demand for it has increased, surely the current distributor would have anticipated earlier and make sure sufficient supply for the new year. They must be paid 8hrs but goyang kaki for 4 hrs a day. laugh.gif

Met some of their promoters at BV last year...they said, you want more LEGO, can visit LLM. Huh? When I heard it, its like they want Malaysians to visit LLM just to buy LEGO sets.

What a great [fill in the blank] for all Malaysian Lego Fans!

Hell YEA!! Wish Shell offer more others, if any, in the future. Or our local SUN daily offer free lego minipacks with subscription. smile.gif

brickboytoys also get stock fr ALJ, right? they always get b4 TRU and other retailers

i wonder how the LEGO stocks move a couple of years back like pre-2007? must be slow shelfwarmers all the time, due to high price and lack of AFOLs tongue.gif

Pre-ALJ days, stocks were plentiful, variety and exciting all year long. Jusco, TRU, Parkson all filled. I didnt experience LEGO drought season. Once a while crazy Lego clearance sales and with balance summore on the last day.

Maybe back then not many collectors but I think now its due to LegoLand fever and after kids watched Ninjago TV series...they do look like Power Ranger and during that time (Go Go Power ranger), kids pestering parents to buy the toys.

Ninjago was also initially alot in the local market, only start to sell faster with the Snake men series.

ALJ opened LEGO store at Bangsar Village but now look neglected cowboy town.

Some TRU staff teased us "Da dewasa pon gilar main toys". We replied "Betol!, harga toys ALJ kasi naik...hanya kita mampu beli. Lagipun gaji TRU pon kami yang sumbang (from toy sales)".

Maybe ALJ thinks adults can afford to pay more, hence they increase price. Man, I think i rather buy from private sellers. At least the sellers offer some stuff than ALJ currently. thumbup.gif

I on off on LEGO prior to introduction of CMF. Once kena minifigure racun...now still on off buying but more as compared to early years. I never felt bad ripping the box to assemble the bricks as compared to some other action figure toys. LEGO value and excitement is priceless.
