Dear all LEGO enthusiastic,

I am looking for a set of mindstorm.

But I went to a few departmental store n toy shop also cannot find a single set. Anyone comes across with any set of mind storm in Malaysia?

Would appreciate any reply if you see one in anywhere. Or anyone ever buy it online? How long will it takes to reach?

Thank you.

Wow. Looks more well stock than even TRU  rclxub.gif If I see that Ironman figure I may want to buy to do a comparison since I got the real thing. Even the box looks the same! Not to mention I will want to grab what looks like the Ice dragon clone in the second picture. The one with the white ninja and the skeleton figure.

Anyway, some more creator goodness...

Gandalf: Now Frodo, get on the eagle!
Frodo: Sure it is a good idea?
Gandalf: Sure it is. Seeing that Sam got to carry you to Mount Doom during some parts, get attack by all manner of deadly creatures and you finally give in to the ring at the very last stage, I decided to take the most quick route!

I think Marcus is letting go of his set, try to search in garage sales, hobbies and collectible section.
Why not wait for 3.0?

I was digging through some old photos and found these.

Back in July 2012, I was in UK. I was on holiday and Windsor was one of my stops. Had to take photo of the castles. Missed out on going to LEGOLAND Windsor though. Went to one of the shops, Daniel, just to survey prices. At that time, I already booked tickets to LEGOLAND Malaysia in October 2012 so it didn't occur to me to buy anything. I would have had trouble carrying it back too.

I don't think there were sales at that time, so these prices are the RRP.

So I finally had a little time to open up my BELA Ninja - Set 9739 and here's a quick comparison pic.

user posted image

Notice how the thick, bushy eyebrows show through the Batman cowl.

As what bro heng84 said a few posts earlier, it is nowhere close to the original (obviously!)

Here's the lowdown on what's wrong with it.

THE CONS:
a) First glaring mistake - the package (card and even the instruction sheet) shows black hands but the minifig comes with white hands! What ninja wears white gloves??? This ain't Michael Jackson yo!
b) Minifig joints too tight. Hard to move
c) Ninja headpiece loose, comes off easily
d) Bricks don't click in place, comes apart easily
e) Crap - I paid RM 13 for mine and saw that bro heng84 got it for only RM 9.90

THE PROS:
a) Ermm ....... can't think of any yet.
b) OK - how about, the instruction manual shows the other sets in the series

user posted image

I'll leave you with a parting message from Batman.......

for those asking earlier, BN.com ships to Malaysia for their in-stock items, but comments seems to suggest shipping is slow.

i dont think imitation bricks can really challenge Lego. ppl who buy imitation bricks already have low expectation of their plastic but just buy cheap bricks to play only.

Can see that the quality is really inferior... I would still pay a premium to buy LEGO.

Maybe you're right.. China memang got imitation of everything..
Hey i have this set.. The biggest set i ever have.. U didn't stick the stickers? biggrin.gif

That port set is second had. Bought it from Bricklink when 1 showed up in Singapore. So when it arrived some of the stickers weren't there. Also some of the larger stickers are across multiple bricks so it would be lost when the set was dissembled years ago.

wanna ask...does lego bricks color fade over time?
*
For white color yes. For other colors not so noticeable except maybe for yellow color. Some of my old town sets the white has turned to slight yellow.

I bought the BOLE brand, Ninja 9013 at the booth outside Sunway Pyramid TRU. The joints are good & smooth. The only thing missing is the Lego marking. Everything else are eerily similar.

Oops, CTRL + V issue. Copy paste but didn't change the amount.

The Batcave was GBP 69.99 (as can be seen on the price tag)

Thats a VERY strategic place to set up their booth there tongue.gif

imagine cash strapped parent dragging his crying kid out of TRU coz lego pricing too deterrence... suddenly saw the booth selling similar stuff at half d price.

RM150 including shipping? Sounds like a good deal.
