NXTBee and The Flying Fortress LEGO Blimp
We recently discovered this fantastic video of a LEGO MINDSTORMS creation: The Flying Fortress LEGO Blimp. The project is a fantastic two-ballooned flying blimp made of LEGOs and controlled with a pair of NXTBees.

I also bought the imitation "Ninjago" from a kiosk near the TRU. Curious to know how the quality is like.

Wow. Looks more well stock than even TRU rclxub.gif If I see that Ironman figure I may want to buy to do a comparison since I got the real thing. Even the box looks the same! Not to mention I will want to grab what looks like the Ice dragon clone in the second picture. The one with the white ninja and the skeleton figure.

Anyway, some more creator goodness...

Gandalf: Now Frodo, get on the eagle!
Frodo: Sure it is a good idea?
Gandalf: Sure it is. Seeing that Sam got to carry you to Mount Doom during some parts, get attack by all manner of deadly creatures and you finally give in to the ring at the very last stage, I decided to take the most quick route!

TO MOUNT DOOM!

Another view of the eagle. Very well designed!

Power Mech: So I cost TWICE the price compared to you? On Brickset I cost 19.90 USD and you cost...
Eagle: 14.99 USD. Somehow I only cost half the price here which is RM 44.90. Dunno why they decided to price you wayyyy more than you are worth at RM 99.90.
Power Mech: Yeah... Gosh I hate ALJ and their Malaysian pricing.

Dear all LEGO enthusiastic,

I am looking for a set of mindstorm.

But I went to a few departmental store n toy shop also cannot find a single set. Anyone comes across with any set of mind storm in Malaysia?

Would appreciate any reply if you see one in anywhere. Or anyone ever buy it online? How long will it takes to reach?

Thank you.

Its getting out of hand, not only for Lego, obviously :/ The production of imitations are very vast and people opted for it because its cheaper and affordable. I think authorities will have a hard time trying to stop it all...

Just my 2 cents.. I think there are more and more imitation for LEGO now because of the factory that they opened in China in recent years.. These factory might get their hands on the blueprint for the sets and therefore manage to make imitation of all these set..

Well considering there are so many Transformers KOs as well and even a large corporation like Hasbro has trouble going after these KOs, it is no surprise that a small fry like ALJ cannot keep those KOs off the streets. I mean, some of the places where they are selling KO Lego are in upmarket areas like Sunway Pyramid and even one stall in KLCC.

I do agree that the large price difference and the lack of availability is going is causing the influx of these KOs. But I feel it is about bloody time this KOs make an appearance to at least give TLG and ALJ some pressure to reduce prices and get their stock in faster. You can see even in places like Metrojaya MV and Robinsons MV where there are Best Lock bricks. Robinsons is the worst case of clones taking over since there is little to no Lego there. ALJ is lucky Hasbro priced their Kre-O at a premium, otherwise the cheap price and good quality bricks would eat a share out of the Lego market.

I do not think it is due to the fact that TLG has a factory in China, it is more like those manufacturers in China can copy ANYTHING. It does not require rocket science nowadays to make a precision plastic injection machine to produce parts like Lego.

Comparison in size between the old space shuttle set and the new shuttle adventure set. Too bad the big one does not come with a more complete launch pad.
