Very technical staff like OSI layers (in details).. switches and routers design fundamental, TCP/IP calculation, objective and subjective questions.

But the test is not everything, The interview is the one that determine your application.. Best luck to eveyone applying

Hello, I'm a new comer. Can I know is there got any question about architeture for GSM, CDMA, 3G? What others question are included also? Can you tell me? Is the test takes long time?

I had just went through 2 stage of interview in Huawei. 1st interview is at MNI tower, then I been told to go for 2nd interview in KLCC tower. The interviewer asked me to wait for 2 weeks. Now, 1 week gone already.

Can I know my chance brighter or not?

p/s: I applied for mobile presales engineer and I'm fresh graduate

*
U went to interview in Huawei before get the job from Maxis?
How long u work for Maxis already?
U joined as fresh graduate?
What kind of analyst engineer do in Maxis?
Why u want to change company?

Talk about ur previous interview in Huawei... Why failed?
They also asked u to wait for 2 weeks?
If I email to them, they'll reply or not? They'll felt liked been disturbed or not?

Is Maxis currently looking for fresh graduate? (I'm not mean about fresh graduate training program)
How do u apply for Maxis?

U went to interview in Huawei before get the job from Maxis?
Yeah, i give up Huawei because require to base in brunei for 3 years

How long u work for Maxis already?
More then 1/2 year

U joined as fresh graduate?
Nope, but with 1 year exp in telco ASP.

Actually, what is ASP, NSP? (sorry, I'm still fresh in this field)

What kind of analyst engineer do in Maxis?
Network performance analysis, i'm in packet switch performance

Why u want to change company?
Maxis only offer contract position (but good pay), another reason is I wan to try something new as in technical sales position. Because I hav tried support engineer, analyst engineer, and I wan to try presales now

What does support engineer do? Is that customer support? Troubleshooting?
So, u still looking for a suitable position, right?
I'm fresh graduate with CGPA 3.3.
I know telecommunication field is very wide. So, I just want to join a telco to learn, anything. I just learn theoretical thing in university, so I want to involve in the real world of telecommunication.
Any advice u can give me?

Maxis can apply via Jobstreet or maxis.com.my

By the way, I'm truely truely appreciate ur kindness and ur advice!

I'm also very fresh to working life only. 2 1/2 years working experience only. i choose telecomm field because i foresee is one of the most promising industry if compared to oil & gas or tobacoo.

1 year in PSTN (fixed line) - support

1 year in Mobile GSM (Mobile data) - analyst

Do u mind tell me what's the company u work for in ur 1st job?

There are 3 stages. It all depends on whether the managers are free to interview. If they are overseas, you will b contacted after some time...

Which stage are u at?
*
I had a technical test in 1st stage at MNI tower, then at the same day, I go to KLCC tower to meet the deputy director for the 2nd stage. He told me to wait for 2 weeks. Now, 1 week gone already. I called him yesterday to ask about my application status and he told me to wait for another week.

p/s: i'm fresh graduate

well if he told you to wait 2 weeks...then be patient. He might have to interview other candidates first before deciding who to put through. no point sounding desperate...
*
as i know, 2 weeks mean hopeless already....
i'm still praying for miracle...

anyway, thanks for ur advice

Hey man, you are kinda desperate!!! Relax relax....

I understood your feeling, bcz I also past through all the stages one year before especially when you are first class degree...

When you show desperate, normally you gonna fail your interview~~

I also spent about 2 months to get my first job....I also quite desperate before I secure a job....sometime, you need to play some tactics during the interview, remember dont show your desperate during interview, tell them you got few offer in hand, let the company desperate...not you....
Believe me, I got 3 offers at the same time!!!

I'm now working in telecommunication field as well.  Wish you luck!! If you manage to enter Hua Wei, then we will become competitor already!!  whistling.gif
*
Actually, I'm not 1st class degree, my CGPA is just 3.3
Oh no! I just show my passion to work in Huawei only...
During this 2 months, u had undergo how many interview? All telco?
Do you know which telecommunication related company is looking for fresh graduate?
What company u r working currently?

p/s: Thanks for ur advice, I'm really appreciate...

I reckon chances very slim and u better prepare for the worst and u can also try other company.

there is alot of other related company in the markets. i think if u are fresh grad and if u join huawei, u will find urself very hard to adopt their enviroment.

Try some local or smaller scale company, chances might be higher. bare in mind, there is no 100% success's interview..
*
I know. I also apply for others company at the same time. But, it's hard to find smaller related company via Internet. I'd apply a few but no response.

Any small telecommunication related company recommended? smile.gif
