I used to travel to site alone, day/night. Yup, some places are quite dangerous, but u're more scared of dirty things than real human I guess. Got a lot of stories from my colleagues  Do ask your seniors to share  But I'm not sure Datacom needs to travel a not.
I would say it's more to flexi working hours. I've worked from 10am-5pm(2 hours lunch in between) during no-issue days and also 18 hours straight in days when we have issues, 24 hours straight if we have super big issues. But I don't think you can really avoid long working hours in any company. Looking on the bright side, you have flexi working hours 
Em, the higher the allowance, the more risky the country 
but yes, I do have friends earning around RM40k within 2 months, but I'm not sure they are willing to go back anymore.. haha...

Yup, do call them up. I called up the HR 2 weeks after my interview last time and 1st thing she told me, "Oh, I forgot to call you"
