Hello there,

I've been eyeing for a long time to get a Kawasaki Ninja 250, especially the newly released one. Recently I just got my rider's license. I already have been driving cars for many years, but recently I taught of getting a bike to enjoy a more raw experience of travelling. The thing is that i'm hesitating about certain aspects about owning a bike, because from what I can tell, travelling on a bike is very much different from driving a car... I'm afraid that i'll just be wasting my money and getting a bad debt... so, anyone who had a similar wish or experience, hope you can share...

Just to note, I am well aware of the dangers and risk of riding a bike... just want to know if its worth to get the bike (2013 Ninja 300.)

Just talk to a veteran rider. It's a great thing to have but make sure you know everything there is to know (all them "hidden costs" and annoyance). I mean, I doubt owning a 25k bike would be remotely the same as owning a 25k car. It's a great way to save on petrol though, and look cool and travel fast at the same time. tongue.gif

Well, how often I use the bike depends on my skills and courage of actually riding it... because of the fact I haven't rode properly and am quite a newbie i'm still can't say much about it yet, but whenever I go on long journeys and see big bikes pass me, I do feel like doing the same one day. In any case, if all goes well I'll be using the bike quite often, including going to work, finding friends and the occasional trips...

Got another thing I would like to know, is the Ninja 250 a targeted bike to be stolen? what are (extra) the steps to avoid it being stolen?

IINM la...there is actually a hot spot area at Shah Alam, quite a number of cases of sports bikes being broken or stolen....
I don't know about the legitimacy of that report, but there are a lot of nice bikes there, around the area where UiTM is.

In any case, if I have that nice bike, I wouldn't leave it outside near the streets if I can't keep my eyes on it, or if the streets are empty. I mean, it's a bike, it's not something 3 men can't lift on a truck and carry away. laugh.gif
