Hello there,

I've been eyeing for a long time to get a Kawasaki Ninja 250, especially the newly released one. Recently I just got my rider's license. I already have been driving cars for many years, but recently I taught of getting a bike to enjoy a more raw experience of travelling. The thing is that i'm hesitating about certain aspects about owning a bike, because from what I can tell, travelling on a bike is very much different from driving a car... I'm afraid that i'll just be wasting my money and getting a bad debt... so, anyone who had a similar wish or experience, hope you can share...

Just to note, I am well aware of the dangers and risk of riding a bike... just want to know if its worth to get the bike (2013 Ninja 300.)

Well, how often I use the bike depends on my skills and courage of actually riding it... because of the fact I haven't rode properly and am quite a newbie i'm still can't say much about it yet, but whenever I go on long journeys and see big bikes pass me, I do feel like doing the same one day. In any case, if all goes well I'll be using the bike quite often, including going to work, finding friends and the occasional trips...

Got another thing I would like to know, is the Ninja 250 a targeted bike to be stolen? what are (extra) the steps to avoid it being stolen?

assalam,
Naza Blade 250 is a good choice also...price also quite cheaper than the Ninja...

V-Twin vs Inline...test ride first...

I did look around at this bike, but from reviews and comments i've heard that it has quality issues and high vibration on highway speeds... any owner care to comment?

Oh yes, seeing that this ninja is a detuned version, so I take it that it uses the new 300cc engine rather than just having a new body with the old 250cc engine right... means we can re-tune it to get back the original 300cc power that it was supposed to have..?

apart from the jacket and helmet, what would be must buys with a new bike? hehe

based on the not new ninja 250r

normal service every 4~5k km
2x 1liter eo + oil filter = rm100++

stock air filter change new every 10~15k km...price not sure, but cheap
can also use washable air filter like k&n, jfc, dna, bmc brands..last forever

normal spark plug change every 15~20k km
or iridium plug last 60~100k km rm40~50 a piece

rm20 ron95 can last 240~280km, 2013 should save fuel more, expect 270 ~ 300km

but i heard the waiting list for the new ninja 13 is long  whistling.gif
if can topup, better take er-6f/n rm38k or z800 rm49k  drool.gif coz 250r not fast enough top 170kmh only, few months bored edy  laugh.gif

a question just popped into my mind as i day dream of getting the ninja... what do real owners of such bikes really do with their machine? Use it to work every day, keep it for the odd weekend ride? I mean... sometimes the reasons that we give ourselves so that we buy our 'toys' are never implemented when we finally bought it LOL..
