Yalor .. kena tax like crazy ... but like i say somewhere in this forum. The tax can be avioded if the package in under-declared, that was the mistake that I did not do. If you buy anything with a total of more than RM400 .. remember to under-declare it.

wow after reading the posts, i just realized that i'm a total n00b in buying stuff via shipping! well..that's because i've never done that before..so spare me. tongue.gif

anyhoo, could you kind dudes give me a n00b tutorial about this shipping2 stuff?

1) i went to gameshop.com.sg and found that there are two methods of shipping; express and standard. difference is in terms of delivery time and cost. for both, they will be using the same shipping services yeah? and are there any cons in standard shipping besides waiting a little longer?

2) about taxing. now if i were to order and ask for shipping from gameshop, would there be any tax at all? if so, how much?

thanks for your answers dudes. me so n00bie. laugh.gif laugh.gif thumbup.gif

SLower shipping options usually have the tendecy to get caught by the customs though not always the case.People use the faster shipping with that in mind, and also they cannot wait any longer for their stuff.

2) This is my personal opinion, there is no cutoff limit to what gets taxed and what is not. Example, a close friend got himself a package of games worth RM200++ but still get taxed, while i once got past customs without tax even when Play-Asia was shipping me the PSP package with invoices clearly stuck outside stating the worth of the package more than RM1000++. It is all luck of the draw.

My advice is to request Gamescore to declare the item at lower price, mark it as something less prone to tax, and also mark it as "Gift". But of course the customs are clever, you can mark down the price to RM300+ say, but ifyour item is huge and heavy and you declare it as something that is not, chances are youe package will be held one way or another. There are no guarantees here.

u mean 720p? don't worry, all xbox360 games support both 720p and 1080i. but many say 720p looks best. personally, i don't know coz i aint got no hdtv.

1. No idea, Im getting my friend to buy it for me from Singapore.

2. Yes you will be fine all games support 720p. And upscaling shouldnt be an issue.
