Guys, my damn copy of Oblivion is officially dead... well, half dead actually. It came to a point where it cant load my lastest save and pop out the dirty disc error message. Tried using the toothpaste method, I guess I have probably took the wrong step, it actually made the situation even worse.

There are some slight scratches appeared on the disc after I have encountered my frist 3ROD while playing Oblivion. Since then, no longer my Xbox is able to display the title screen properly (which shows the map of Cyrodill) and only appears like a corrupted screen with weird colors. however, I am still able to load and play my game just fine by that time. Only the dirty disc message would pop out occasionally. Last night it has became worse... now it keeps pop out the dirty disc message when it loads to half way. tried the clear cache method and still no use.

I'm super pissed with my Xbox now. It is such a lousy machine (though with great games). Those Americans should have learn from japanese on how to build a quality console.

Anyways... if anyone willing to let go of their copy of Oblivion. Please PM me for the price and your disc conditions. Thanks!

Same thing happened to me, but I managed to fix it using the toothpaste+hairgel method.
Did you simply put toothpaste on the disc and wipe it or what?

Unfortunately that is the case... sad.gif I was very frustrated at that time didn't even bother to look up for the proper way from the internet.... after I applied the toothpaste and I wiped it, washed it.... many many minor scratches appeared. Now my xbox makes some weird noise wheneven I play Oblivion.

Guess I have to buy another copy.... cry.gif Anyone willing to let go their copy?? sad.gif

PS: Notice there is a little tiny hole with light shining through when I face face the DVD to the light. That means that whatever data at that tiny little hole would gone, finish, habis, die or whatever (means unreadable). I can officially call my Oblivion DVD dead! Not even 2 months old! I blame that on my Xbox! mad.gif

95% of the caves are almost the same... but somehow looting treasure boxes are great funs, but again, 98% of the contents are junks. :(

I just break my 100 hours record, and I still cant proceed to the thieve's guild last quest. None shows up in the imperial city no matter how long I waited there. I searched the internet and so far the only advice I received is to replay the whole game... :( Any idea guys?
