I need to get a moped to commute to work. Was using the original Modenas Krisfor 9 years-with only foot starter, sold it after 9 years. 3 years in, changed sports rim to use tubeless tyres.

So specs I am looking in a moped are:
- < 150 cc. No hand clutch better-easier to maintain. Same power with the Kriss (110 cc fine with me. Anything lower than that not interested/underpowered)
- Don't mind disc/drum brake
- Must be able to put that front basket/raga. Good storage under seat is a plus.
- Must come with sports rim and tubeless. Willing to get any other moped and put tubeless and sports rim. Total price of conversion of both (tubeless and sport rim) must not exceed price of other moped that already comes with tubeless and sport rim.
- Budget max RM7k. Usage for work, not interested in racing, but must able to carry stuff on moped and easy to ciluk traffic laugh.gif
- Brand: No preference though I like Honda and Yamaha-need to be reliable. Modenas is fine too.

I found this bike from Yamaha (135LC ES): http://www.yamaha-motor.com.my/product.asp...=6§ion=feat
mostly fit the bill but comes with hand clutch. If anyone know any other alternatives better. That basket will ask the motor salesman to put.

Thanks for the recommendations

Yamaha LC is the best <150cc motorbike for me now. It's already have sport rim and tubeless. Riding are quite fun and smooth too. The pick up are really good for ciluk2. However, there are two type of LC in the market IINM. With clutch and without clutch. Can't remember the price different.

IMO, for city driving without clutch is better because sometime at traffic jam, it's tiring to press the clutch over and over. But the seat for 2nd person are small and for someone with big butt like me, it's uncomfortable than riding a Kriss.

Another bike in mind is Lagenda. Both are Yamaha and hotcake for bike thief. You definitely need extra security for them. If I were you, I'll pick LC...

That is why I want without clutch. That Yamaha I posted got clutch. Which Yamaha is this?

Honda future, big compartment underneath and claim to be fuel efficient too

Honda future is great too. Already got sport rim, remove tube can go tubeless. Easy.

givi box?

Have you tried riding that bike with box at the back with full load? Balance lari, no longer centre like basket, also when you ciluk box can hit high vehicle like lori when you want to turn after ciluk. Also putting box at the back makes the bike longer, hence harder to ciluk.

So after viewing both Modenas GT128 and Honda Future 125, I'd go with the Honda Future. Got space below seat. Better fuel consumption. Can easily do tubeless conversion with the sport rims. Thanks all again for the recommendation.
