that's the problem. it's not about the graphic. it's about CDPR lying on your face!!!

imagine Tim Cook promising u ipon7 to have 10core processor, Retina4 display that would be equivalent to 4K quality and metal unibody.

near launching date, ppl leaked ipon7 will only have 8core proc, Retina display equivalent to HD quality and plastic unibody painted wif metalic paint.

ifag around the world rage and ask for clarification - tim cook deny, deny, deny....
but u oredi preorder it with the price tag RM3000...
how how how???

then another leak from apple insider saying - ipon7 was downgraded so that it can increase their profit...to compensate for the reduce in their marketshare due to china phones...

can i still say to u...well at least it's still an ipon....ipon kan the bestttttt  whistling.gif
dun lah nitpick all the details when u still can fb, whatsapp and selfie wif instagram perfectly fine...
*
what i think is they are playing down the graphic comparison.. so that people will still buy the ps4 version.. or so..
i think the graphic is gonna be great..

Just checked. Yeah thanks for the correction, it'll be 7am then. Darn.
It's called parity. Why? We can only speculate.

If you check out the difference between the Xbone and PS4, they are actually pretty damn close too. The PC is just another half a step ahead, framerates aside.

Remember, the 2014 gameplay reveal was running on a single 780Ti with a stock 4770k at 60fps (check the raw footage from gamersyde). 1 year later, the game can only run on a 980 with reduced visuals, isn't that fishy enough?

oh well... few hours left.. time will tell..

Grab tool at: http://reshade.me/
Run the exe in there and select witcher3's exe which located in bin/x64 ... it will copy files required in that location.
Go to folder bin/x64/sweetfx/ and open SweetFX_settings.txt

At line no.42 (just near the top if you don't have an editor with line numbers), enable tonemap

CODE
#define USE_TONEMAP        1 //[0 or 1] Tonemap : Adjust gamma, exposure, saturation, bleach and defog. (may cause clipping)

Then somewhere near the bottom

CODE
 /*-----------------------------------------------------------.
 /                        Tonemap settings                     /
 '-----------------------------------------------------------*/
#define Gamma       1.000  //[0.000 to 2.000] Adjust midtones. 1.000 is neutral. This setting does exactly the same as the one in Lift Gamma Gain, only with less control.

#define Exposure    0.400  //[-1.000 to 1.000] Adjust exposure

#define Saturation  -0.4  //[-1.000 to 1.000] Adjust saturation

#define Bleach      0.000  //[0.000 to 1.000] Brightens the shadows and fades the colors

#define Defog       0.020  //[0.000 to 1.000] How much of the color tint to remove
#define FogColor float3(0.28, 1.70, 0.28) //[0.00 to 2.55, 0.00 to 2.55, 0.00 to 2.55] What color to remove - default is blue

I'm using those value for now, but looks pretty good so far. Actually tested it back when they released some screenshots and I noticed the game have heavy green tint - so I remove it with the Defog function. Makes the visual MILES better.

Everyone should also understand that the prologue area is NOT an indication of how the game will perform like throughout the whole game. Once you get past the prologue area and you get access to traverse across the continent, THAT'S when you will need to re-optimize.

I got 78fps with SLI 970 on 1080p, all maxed out settings with a few more ini tweaks to the shadow cascade distance, all this in the prologue area. But after that, it dips to sub-60!
*
omg.. i have 780ti sli.. i wonder how will it fare.. gonna tweak it tonight.. damn

and im running on 1440p..

I can run on 1440p at a nicely locked 66fps but I will have to disable all the extra tweaks in the ini file. Something that I cannot stand is how barren the foliage looks, so the shadow cascading does improve it quite a bit.

If you are just going to put the game at max, without touching anything else, you should be okay at 1440p. Do keep in mind though that hairworks doesn't perform too well in the Witcher 3 on Kepler cards.

then its better to turn it off to save some FPS

Not my pics, but here's a comparison between a maxed out Witcher 3 at 4k, the December "promo" shot vs the final release.

level 1. Bastard made me eat all my food. I kill 2 drowners, that wraith and the 3-4 wolves near the niflegaard place but still nowhere getting to lv 2. I read that quest gives more exp but didnt expect killing monsters only give you small exp. cry.gif

I guess you have to have the recipe and ingredient to make one.
I just simply steal bread, water and stuff to keep my health going  brows.gif

the cool thing with witcher series is u can take a contract job either u read the notice board or speak directly to the person who posted on a notice board.. its just not like other game where u need to realize a particular thing in order to talk to the particular person.. if u know what i mean

Finally got Hairworks to perform better. Just set the HairWorksMSAA value in the ini to 2.
I can finally get the game to run at 1440p 60fps, all maxed out with shadows at high and foliage distance at high. Other tweaks that I have is increasing the shadow distance and cascading in the ini, as well as higher grass density.

For 1080p, users of highly OC'd 970 or a GTX980 can achieve near solid 60fps (no lower than min 55) if you drop HairworksMSAA down to 0 with all other settings maxed out (except foliage distance of course). This will produce shimmering, but if you have blur and motion blur enabled, it wouldn't be too distracting.

Now just have to figure out how to tone down bloom a little bit so that dawn wouldn't be so overbearing.

wonder if u can export the file out and make it together with a batch file for noobs like us..

Also one other thing I need to ask you guys, during the cutscenes, do you guys get frame dips erratically?
I'm talking about the none in-game cutscenes, but the ones that play out in a cinematic fashion using the engine as the render.

I cannot confirm this right now, but it seems that the cutscenes are capped to 30fps and can be switched to 60fps in the config file.
*
Yes.. Not sure how much it dips but it's noticeable
