Does anyone here bought and preload the game in GOG client? Can tell me where they preload and install the witcher 3 game folder at. I bought mine but haven't receive my cdkeys so i went to download the preload game data first so once the game is activated I can just copy and replace the whole folder to the official location.

The GOG version is DRM-free. Once you purchased the game from GOG.com or redeemed your copy from GOG site you can already download the game files from your GOG account or the optional GOG Galaxy program client. After completely downloading all the installer files you just run the installer executable and follow the instructions, it will start pre-loading the files to your PC just like any regular GOG installer. Afterwards the the game should be listed on your program.

Once the game is released, you just need to download a small remainder of the game data from your GOG account or GOG Galaxy client in order to run the full game.

In some areas, Witcher 2 (with uber sampling + hi-res textures mod) actually looks better than Witcher 3. Yeah, I'm not kidding.
*
Not surprising. Till today there are still modern system that struggle with ubersampling enabled since ubersampling will basically eat your graphic card alive.

hmm...not using steam nor do i like the idea of installing a third-party tools jus to measure the fps...

thought there's an ingame setting to enable fps reading...

You can consider downloading and installing the prominent MSI Afterburner software.

It's completely free and one of the most comprehensive and stable overclocking software tool in addition to being able to monitor FPS. The application is non-intrusive and very light as it will do little to hinder the performance of your system.

The major disadvantage of not playing w1 and w2 is.. Who is Siri/Ciri..
*
Ciri did not make any physical apperance in any of the previous Witcher games, in fact she was barely even mentioned. The same thing also applied with Yennefer.

Only for those who have read the current English translated books (The Last Wish and Blood of Elves) did it actually formerly introduce both of these characters. The Last Wish also explained how Yenn and Geralt first met and hooked up.

At the post processing there , i remember got c one is motion blur and one is blur , so should i turn off both or just motion blur ?
*
Blur is more of a general effect which applies to blurring on all applicable environment. Motion blur meanwhile is an active effect on things like certain action (motion) example sword fights, running, horseback, spellcasting, etc.

If you think you generally cannot handle or dislike the blurring effects in the game then just turn both off. It's not going to affect the quality of the visuals.

Remember to also micromanage your inventory from time to time, you can break down or sell off items and surplus weapons that you don't need. There is no point of carrying so many excess junks in your inventory.

Just want to ask, for all of you that bought witcher 3, u all bought from steam or? Does it matter which platform u buy/play from?
*
It really does not matter, since the Witcher 3 is a single player game to begin with. The majority of players are those who bought it from Steam. The Steam store is also one of the cheapest where you can get your copy since the game is price even lower compared with most other countries not to mention you are paying by your local currency (MYR).

If you feel more inclined to support the developer and to have a DRM-free copy, you can consider purchasing it from Gog.com instead.
