panel lining and painted build is a whole different thing. Panel lining usually for touching up straight build that is not painted. U just draw lines on your kit to make it look better, that is what panel lining is

To me if u really want a safe place from children, wall cabinet is sometime good for display.
Though theres no guarantee that other people wont touch

Not sure if untouched. If often touch then yes, it will easily peel off. Though Im not quite sure if the result is the same if u put those decals liquid (forgot the name)
