Saw a red Ford Focus Sport+ on the LDP (near Paradigm Mall) yesterday night.

Such a torture to be waiting for my car to arrive sad.gif

I booked my candy red Sport+ end Feb and got it mid-March smile.gif
Currently rated as Advance Eco Driver by the car since I'm going very gently on the pedal for the first 1,000km.

considering to get the titanium..

one of the branch offered me 2.5k discount for titanium..but i forgot to ask is 2012 or 2013..

That's a good discount. I was given RM1500 discount for my Sport+.

Was driving with the music off yesterday and there was some sound that seems to be coming from the undercarriage towards the front at low speeds i.e. <50km/hr. The 'krak krak' sound is makes sounds like like when you have a loose fender rubbing against your tires. Is this one of the 'common' sounds associated with the dual clutch?

After a few days of driving my car, the sensors/pattern on the windscreen suddenly became so apparent... either that or I just started noticing it then. Its strange coz it kinda disrupts the view a little especially at night. Sometimes its not really visible and at other times, its like drawn out so clearly. Anyone else see this pattern thingy on yr windscreen?

It's the heater line in the windshield. sometimes it's visible at night with lighting around. Maybe need  time to get used to it.

I see.... i think it became really visible after I accidentally turned it on the other day. Before that, didn't even notice it.

Would you temporarily remove the DRL before sending in for servicing?

anyone drive to genting using the car? can share the feel of going uphill and downhill?

Went up once so far. It was an easy drive up the hill since you don't really have to brake much to corner... FOFO grips so tightly that you feel you can take corners at a much higher speed that you would normally do. Torque uphill is pretty good too if ur in sport mode, though I can't overtake other cars as fast as i used to do in my peugeot 308T, but at least now I don't have to encounter that famous '308 corner' where the car feels like its gonna die and the FOFO grips much much better than the 308 in corners.

Sadly, I had to drive slowly downhill when 2 additional senior citizens jumped into my car and I didn't fancy that the RPM ran a little too high and for too long periods in Sport mode when you drive slowly downhill. Though its to facilitate engine breaking, it could run a little lower and should chg back up to a higher gear quicker when you speed up.

I am using the Dynasty series from Sahara-X. Installed it for close to RM1500 if I recall correctly. Heat rejection is pretty good. However, due to the high infrared rejection, I have to come to a total stop at toll booths in order for it to scan my Smart Tag.

Need some advice.

I've narrowed down to 3M, Raytech and Sahara-X as there are too many tints available in the market to choose from. Specs on paper look good though not sure if they are all that accurate in real life.

Just stumbled upon Sahara-X Tint and did a quick research. The specs for some range of their tints seem to be impressive, though not too sure if the figures are all accurate.

The specs for one of the available tint is as below.

Sahara-X NF Specialty Sputter

Sahara-X MIRACLE 999 (FREE Sahara-X Keychain or Sahara-X Cap)
RM1888 (WALK-IN RM2800):
- SUPREME ULTIMATE infrared heat rejection
- Nano-Technology IR and UV protection
- Conducive and comfortable ambience
- JPJ claimable
UVR 99%
VLT 62%
IRR 99%
TSER 75%
color: green

For VLT62%, it is impressive to achieve TSER up to 75%.

Anybody who tinted their vehicles with Sahara can comment?

My SA currently recommends the 3M as it has a package that includes the tint and the car protection layer which protects the car against small stones and sand.

Anybody has any feedback, experience or comments on 3M, Raytech and Sahara-X tints?

O no...when I asked the sales she told me no problem with Smart Tag. It costs me RM2000.

Same thing, the installer also told me that it should be ok but maybe I've to drive slower but in the end, driving slow doesn't work for me and I've to stop completely.
