I went to SC last Friday to complain about the car juddering at low speed. They installed a new software for me and that changed the way the clutch engages and also the way the gear changes.

I noticed 2 significant difference:

1. With old software, when I press the accelerator suddenly, there is a lag in the throttle response then the gear suddenly drops and then the car would just suddenly accelerate.
With the new software, the gear drop and almost instant and the car's acceleration is more predictable.

2. At low speed, the rpm is not a lot higher. Seems like the gear is not fully engaged and rpm around 1.1K even when I am not pressing on the accelerator. The juddering I guessed would be reduced because the car now revs higher with clutch semi engaged. I am just worried if this would affect fuel consumption and worse still wear the clutch quicker.

Anyone installed the new software. Comments???

just confirm with my SA.. only available at SDAC PJ..

this software for tuning to refine back the setting.. my car also jerking at low speed..

he also added that the performance will be better after install this software..

any of you received a letter from Ford saying they extending our warranty period? i did received it a few weeks ago. Which mean my car warranty has been extended to 5 years for both services & parts 

yup both is 5 years and the mileage is increased also...i forgot d how much it increased.. if im not mistaken from 100k to 200k

I've clocked about 670km as of today.... been keeping track of my FC via aCar app; as per last fill-up 3 days ago, I have been averaging 12.74 l/100km.... that works out to be exactly similar to yours, at 430km for the full 55L tank!!

Agreed... FC is not as great as expected... according to the website, it is supposed to be 9.4L/100km... about full tank 585km for pure city driving, and 6.6L/100km or full tank 850km combined.

Could it be because our cars are so new?

Also, when I first got the car, I was really light on the gas pedal earlier, with very slow acceleration (I'm sure the drivers behind me were cursing!), and I noticed that the jerking/shuddering was worse as expected; in addition the felt like the gear was higher than what it should be, resulting in sluggish performance. Now what I do is give it a little more gas at the start, then end up coasting more. Based on the "Average Fuel Consumption" reading on the dashboard, this style of driving is giving me improved FC woh!

Hi everyone!

i just bought a fofo 2013 Sport (without +) from SDAC and i was thinking of changing the headlamps to HID myself instead of adding the extra 13k to get the HID BI XENON (one of the features in the + model). My SA told me that if it has anything to do with the car wiring, the car's warranty will be voided. Any suggestion on this ? where i can change my lights to white lights instead of yellow lights without getting my warranty voided.

Firstly, the disclaimer: I haven't done this myself, just reading up on it....

If the objective is to achieve a whiter headlight, then it is possible to simply use a halogen bulb with a higher colour temperature... pure white should be in the 4000K to 5000K region (above 5000K will give a bluish tinge).  I found quite a few listed on Lelong.com.my; I'm sure most car accessory shops would also stock them. According to the owner's manual, our non-Plus FoFo uses H1 for the high beam, and H7 for the normal/dipped beam.

I have also heard hearsay that these whiter bulbs burn out faster...

I had a minor accident yesterday with some tiny scratches on the front bonnet.i went to 3rd party car spray centre they said need to respray the whole bonnet. Any advice here?I am worry that the colour might be different. They said they don't have any touch up spray.argh heart broken.

Im currently considering Hyundai Elantra 1.8 and Focus 2.0 sports.

I have few questions:
1. Sports version has rear parking assist which will shown on 4.2 LCD display?

2. How about front sensor? I heard the dashboard will turn red if theres some object in front of a car. Normal sports version come with this feature?

I test drive few days ago, and I keep reading about it online and I just want to confirm these few things. And Im getting one this coming August, Kuching here. xD

Thank you for your feedback. Its sad that the ford sync didn't come with radio control. Hopefully can at least control the aircond. I'm placing my booking next week.

In kuching there's only One Hyundai and One Ford 3S service center. I was so tempted to buy an premium Elantra but the service agent pissed me off. I wear pyjamas and test drive during weekdays and he treats me like shit. He even ask trainee to explain to me. I emphasize a lot in service agent & after sales service.

I rarely see any ford focus on Kuching Road but I believe that comparing Elantra, Civic, Cerato, Mazda 3 and corolla, Ford focus is best at its price and driving experience. I hope I won't regret for getting one. =)

A rear camera would be nice... not used to the extremely short rear-end... seems like I'm going to hit something when reversing, even though the sensor hasn't gone red yet! Won't such an installation void the warranty, though?

I confirm that there is no front parking sensor for the Titanium.

Where can I test drive? In pj or kl area
