i just pass 1000KM yesterday, saw it in LYN forum that fiesta users also having the same issue with the gear box about the gear not changing.

after the incident happen , yes im getting less rubble abit. But im still worry that the gear stop changing might happen.

i also find the keyless feature abit annoying when trying to lock the car, do i really have to wait 3 sec outside under a hot sun or pouring rain to lock the car? beside hitting the lock button on the remote.

if u r holding the handle...it will confuse the system as it was meant to open the lock when it senses ur hand gripping the handle (without the need to press the button to open the door)....that's y i will get confused as to whether open or close the door while u r  holding n pressing the button at the same time ....dun grip the handle..just press the button n it should lock immediately...try it out and see how it goes...

despite of gearbox jerk & clutch plate rubbing sound, this car also have rattling sound everywhere...for price >100K, does we deserve to get this? my proton doesnt have rany attling sound untill 4-5yrs.....in term of performance, can say, a 1.6 NA car with skill driver still can tailgating you, ....technology wise, mmmm...park assist?city stop?haha.....not so proud owning it....

guys, if i buy new car, can i expect it to come with all the plastics cover inside? how to know whether the car is a showroom car or not?

I went to SC last Friday to complain about the car juddering at low speed. They installed a new software for me and that changed the way the clutch engages and also the way the gear changes.

I noticed 2 significant difference:

1. With old software, when I press the accelerator suddenly, there is a lag in the throttle response then the gear suddenly drops and then the car would just suddenly accelerate.
With the new software, the gear drop and almost instant and the car's acceleration is more predictable.

2. At low speed, the rpm is not a lot higher. Seems like the gear is not fully engaged and rpm around 1.1K even when I am not pressing on the accelerator. The juddering I guessed would be reduced because the car now revs higher with clutch semi engaged. I am just worried if this would affect fuel consumption and worse still wear the clutch quicker.

Anyone installed the new software. Comments???

My radio/turner sound has a lot of static not sure it's user problem . But will get it checked during my 1st service.
I feel the sound system is adequate, my cousin's mazda 6  system(11 speakers), is one of the better stock system around.

Nowadays for new cars, wearing in period is unnecessary due to the fact that manufacturing processes and precision have come a long long way in producing precise fit and finish on engine components...

as far as the manual shifting is concerned, the paddle shifter is much more ergonomic compared to this power shifting located in the gear knob...imaging when you're speeding fast(that's why you need S mode), I mean FAST, and you have to shift away your left hand to change gear manually...it's not just ergonomic, it's about SAFETY too!
