Sometimes, I don't know who to believe when I ask SA about stock availability.

Some say 2012 Sport+ all sold out, only left Sport with 2k discount. Some say 2012 Sport+ still available, even Candy Red still available with 2k discount. Some say no discount at all. Jeez...

I've finally narrowed it down to Sport+ as the car to buy, but I really don't know which showroom to go to. I'm planning to get it mid-March or April.

Anyone can recommend a reliable SA?

If that,,, its not DRL

Then YES  nod.gif

What? I think you mean it's not LED. DRL stands for Daytime Running Lights, and I'm pretty sure those are DRL.

I waited about one and a half months for my Sport+ (Midnight Sky), booked it on the 8th of March.

If you just booked recently, expect to wait at least 2 months because the demand for this model is really high. At least that's what I heard.
*
I wouldn't say the demand is high for this car. I believe the long waiting period for the Malaysian market is simply because they don't bring in enough cars every batch.

and the diffuser..

That is exactly how I want it to look like! Nice job with it and enjoy your ride!

Do update us on the bumper's effect on the sensors though, especially park assist. Thanks!

hi.. just test and everything ok.. actually there will be no effect as it made from ABS.. imported from Taiwan..

I see. Mind sharing the contact? I actually only want the diffuser, not looking to change the entire bodykit. I wonder if it is possible.

Went to SDAC PJ yesterday and spotted this car.

By the way already changed my bookings there. Already lost hope on the previous dealer. cry.gif

I really wonder why they didn't bring in this colour...

I received my Candy Red Sport+ 2 days ago. Experiencing the low gear juddering like most explained here. One more thing is on hard acceleration, gear change from 3 -> 4 is pretty rough. Kinda kicks me forward during the gear change. 300 KM traveled so far.

All that aside, handling and cornering is great, NVH is surprisingly good, still trying to figure out all the buttons and I'm still deciding on which tinting to use.

On daily driving, I realised that there are not enough 'open' compartments to store things like phone and wallet. What I mean by 'open' is, compartments where you can place your stuff, and not forget to take when you leave your car.

Pictures to come later!

i just pass 1000KM yesterday, saw it in LYN forum that fiesta users also having the same issue with the gear box about the gear not changing.

after the incident happen , yes im getting less rubble abit. But im still worry that the gear stop changing might happen.

i also find the keyless feature abit annoying when trying to lock the car, do i really have to wait 3 sec outside under a hot sun or pouring rain to lock the car? beside hitting the lock button on the remote.

Thanks in advance.

The moment you close your door, you can touch the handle sensor immediately and it will lock. What's with the 3 seconds you're talking about?

if u r holding the handle...it will confuse the system as it was meant to open the lock when it senses ur hand gripping the handle (without the need to press the button to open the door)....that's y i will get confused as to whether open or close the door while u r  holding n pressing the button at the same time ....dun grip the handle..just press the button n it should lock immediately...try it out and see how it goes... smile.gif

This is probably the reason why he's having problems with it. I 'palm' the sensor when I want to lock the car.

Anyways, pictures to share.

despite of gearbox jerk & clutch plate rubbing sound, this car also have rattling sound everywhere...for price >100K, does we deserve to get this? my proton doesnt have rany attling sound untill 4-5yrs.....in term of performance, can say, a 1.6 NA car with skill driver still can tailgating you, ....technology wise, mmmm...park assist?city stop?haha.....not so proud owning it....
*
The only noise I hear now are the clutch sounds. No rattling so far and mileage is at 1500km. The jerkings at low gears have also already improved significantly.

I think the only 1.6NA car that can tailgate is a Civic with a B16A engine so you're either seriously exaggerating here or your heart probably wanted another car in the first place. sad.gif

Anyone here experiencing problems with their front windscreen tinting? I just got my front windscreen re-tinted due to too many small little bubbles, especially near the rear view mirror where there is a big block of sensors. And on my second time, I am still dissatisfied and the boss has agreed to let me come back again another day.

If no one else has this problem, then it is seriously their skills' problem..

I'm using Vkool Elite for the front and Huper Optik for the sides.

guys, if i buy new car, can i expect it to come with all the plastics cover inside? how to know whether the car is a showroom car or not?
*
Yes, the seats should all be covered in the plastic covers. And I think I managed to see some stickers on them with a set of numbers, not sure if it is our car chassis number though. Threw them away on the day I received my car and didn't really bother checking.

QUOTE(karichiken @ Jul 1 2013, 08:09 PM)
I went to SC last Friday to complain about the car juddering at low speed. They installed a new software for me and that changed the way the clutch engages and also the way the gear changes.

I noticed 2 significant difference:

1. With old software, when I press the accelerator suddenly, there is a lag in the throttle response then the gear suddenly drops and then the car would just suddenly accelerate.
With the new software, the gear drop and almost instant and the car's acceleration is more predictable.

2. At low speed, the rpm is not a lot higher. Seems like the gear is not fully engaged and rpm around 1.1K even when I am not pressing on the accelerator. The juddering I guessed would be reduced because the car now revs higher with clutch semi engaged. I am just worried if this would affect fuel consumption and worse still wear the clutch quicker.

Anyone installed the new software. Comments???
*
Makes sense on your second point. If that is what the software update does, which is increase the idling RPM. Then I'm not going to update my car.

My radio/turner sound has a lot of static not sure it's user problem sweat.gif . But will get it checked during my 1st service.
I feel the sound system is adequate, my cousin's mazda 6  system(11 speakers), is one of the better stock system around.
*
True, the radio is awful. Lots of static noise. That's why I only listen to my USB songs..

Nowadays for new cars, wearing in period is unnecessary due to the fact that manufacturing processes and precision have come a long long way in producing precise fit and finish on engine components...

I thought of it this way when I got my Sport+. During delivery of my car, that fella already tekan and whacked my car till god knows what RPM.

It just didn't make much sense to try and drive it below 3k RPM for whatever distance. I might as well enjoy my car from the start.

Had my first Active City Stop experience this morning and it had me wondering what happened lol.

Was stuck in a jam in NKVE, a bike was swerving in and out of gaps in between cars. When my car detected him in front going from left to right, my brakes were automatically applied for me. Gave me a shock as it felt as if I got rear ended..

as far as the manual shifting is concerned, the paddle shifter is much more ergonomic compared to this power shifting located in the gear knob...imaging when you're speeding fast(that's why you need S mode), I mean FAST, and you have to shift away your left hand to change gear manually...it's not just ergonomic, it's about SAFETY too!
*
Although I do not disagree with you, but have you forgotten about how manual car drivers used to and still change gears?
