So, this is my story regarding Ford Puchong.

a lil bit long, but i think its worth sharing, especially to future focus owners!

March 2013

booked ford focus sports nonplus candy red with Persada Auto (puchong), the SA is a real sweet talker. promise me i can get the car within a month. im cool with it since im going outstation for 3 weeks anyway. actually at that point in time i got another SA in SDAC PJ, but decided to stick with Puchong branch as its closer to home. boy, was i mistaken.

the loan was approve within 4 days. purchased specific 3 digit no. plate.

April 2013 - June 2013

no car. the SA keep telling me lies and excuses. the car havent arrived la.. car has arrived but havent register la.. sime darby potong them la, red colour habis la.. car already arrived but no chasis number yet la (whaddahell is this???) car otw already la.. only +version came in la.. and the SA is very lazy, no whatsapp, never reply SMS, rarely call to update. have to call him few times to answer. at this point i was calling him twice a week for updates.

the SA keep telling me the que is very long for candy red. i dont really mind on the colour so i switch to white. to no avail.

July 2013

the bank call to inform that my loan is about to expired. i decided to cancel the booking. i was very frustrated at this point. was actually considering mazda3! (ya ya.. sucks right).

then luck have it, my friend working in BMW inform me that his contact (SA in Jalan ipoh) actually have one white sports nonplus focus. he said the customer change to titanium instead. the car already arrived at the showroom.

i quickly grab it and went back to see my SA in puchong to collect my No. plate slip, deposit, etc. here's where the fun start.

the SA actually bring me into the meeting room, together with his boss MLM-Style asking me not to switch dealer. they even go as far as condemning the color, saying that white color is very bad la, after few years tak cantik already, not metallic la etc, whattahell.. the boss said i already waited for 3 months ++, whats another two weeks etc.. i was quite piss off actually, i complain, how can you lead on customer like that week by week. no stock say no stock lah. then the boss said he just take up this office, he said Persada Auto got another two branch and things are very hectic. he even offer me additional discount up to 2k (car price reduced to 112k). he die die promise me the car key will be in my hand by 6 July 2013.

fool me twice, shame on me. 2k is alot of money, but not enough to earn back my trust. hehe.. got my car 3 days later from SDAC Jalan Ipoh.

my advise - go to reputable dealer like trio mantap, even better sime darby itself. SDAC PJ or Jalan ipoh. avoid FORD Puchong!!! dont suffer like me =(

the DCT is definitely something. the jerking/shuddering is there and noticeable at low speed, but it gets better as u put on the mileage.

by 1k the shuddering is almost gone, although the jerking is still there, but very minimal. its like the gearbox cannot decide which gear to be in at low speed, so u need to control it with your foot. i was told this is DCT characteristic. can be a lil bit annoying sometimes though.. especially going thru traffic jem.

handling is superb, bodyroll and traction is well balanced.

NVH is awesome. FC is still so-so, my last full tank (full city driving) is 450km. hopefully it gets better.

all in all, love the car.

little things that annoy me, my phone cannot fit in the cupholder.

i didnt put in any tint yet. but very soon.

havent decide between llumar, huper optik and vcool. still thinking if its worth it to spend few grand on tint.

my last 2 cars i put e-cool and aqua cool. below 1k only.

white so easy comot, only wash it once since receive the car.. hehe

mind sharing which 3M for 1.5k? smartag sangkut?

mine also didnt come with centre mat for passenger seat. i just go to one of the accesories shop and get sandtrap for the whole car. ard RM100 bucks or so.


still considering to update the software, the jerking and the erratic shifting is still there.. is it worth it?

try SDAC PJ or Jalan ipoh, usually they have more quota/stock compared to dealer. but no discount.

my SA in jalan ipoh gave me smartag, cheap tinting (wingard, if want more quality have to topup), custom no. plate (can choose krystal, spray on from behind, etc.)

but i havent collect the smartag yet, biasa lah, no stock katanye.

I'm reaching 1.8k now, the shuddering has stopped completely, but the jerking is still there sometimes. especially if early in the morning i got stuck in traffic. its like the DCT is not fully warm up or something.

where did you do your huper optik? mind sharing the detail/price? im looking around for tint

haha yaa i think so, maybe gonna change to a better quality one in the future, but not sure where to go. any suggestion on shop?

dont worry it will get better. grinding and jerking almost 100% gone after 2k++

i got mine from SDAC PJ, the SA did offer Wingard or any other tint that i prefer, meaning he want to arrange for me. even offer to pickup my car from my office and sent it back at the end of the day. although its convenient, but im pretty sure the price is hike significantly.

if you got the time, do the tint yourself! with a lil bit of research in this LYN forum alone, i think you can get quite a good deal.

plus if im spending few grand on a tint, i wanna see the worksmanship myself, more satisfaction
