I submitted at 16th Dec, they declined my application on 20 Dec. Asked CS the reason, they said dunno. I will apply again with EPF statement generated from the KIOSK. My failed application was submitted with 3 months payslips although my monthly income is far exceeded the required annual income of 24K.
*
When I handed over my forms, I was also told that my EPF Statement was missing. I told the Aeon Guy, why the heck would u need EPF Statement for CC. EPF Statement is only req say when u apply for Housing Loan.

But the guy says, Company Policy but luckily, there was a EPF Kiosk there.

I suspect is cos AEON is not a Bank, there may not have access to CCRIS hence, they want EPF Statements as a precaution

Nowadays EPF is the de-facto document for CC application.... much more convenient (portable device also)

When I applied concurently for my Alliance CC, the CS said that EPF Statement was not required.

The last time I applied for OCBC about 2-years ago, also was not necessary.

Let say I have 10k Credit Limit and don't have any outstanding. I can do 8k BT for the first time right? After it being approved, my Outstanding will be 8k. Then I can do 1.6k BT the next day?

yes nod.gif

on the issue of pay slip vs EPF, i think nowadays the bank lean their preference towards EPF. Experience with OCBC and Citibank - they can't be bothered with pay slip even when i have it available for them and only need the EPF which is printed on the spot.

Pay slip can be doctored. Kiosk EPF statement printout can't.

Interesting reading this thread. I think like most of you, I'm currently also using ocbc titanium cash rebate card. Since it has stopped giving out 5% cb, am looking for alternative. Looks like this aeon watami suits me just nice. Will apply this before year end. But 1 point i recalled, for the ocbc card, they will credit rm50 yearly to us if our yearly spending is over rm10k. Correct me if i am wrong. We can use that to offset the yearly service tax. If that's true, good to retain this card if monthly spending is a lot (eg. >2.5k) since aeon card is capped at rm150 cb.

If not mistaken that RM50 benefit for spending 10k yearly with OCBC is gone with the 5% as well.

Very valid point.... it shows how much you have now till 55 years old. The bank will be able to "leach" those Account 1 funds when you reach retirement age

Yes... it will be rejected as Citibank (the beneficiary bank) doesn't accept the WATAMI CC number

They prefer to have EPF statement AND 3 months payslip actually. I was told by the CS in AEON Credit Jusco.
*
During apply that time, they only request for latest EPF statement and print out on the spot at 1u branch, no payslip is needed.

Second BT for 1.6k you mean? Can be done??? Because you have usage of 80% Of your CL from the card, based on understanding, only allow 80% of your CL can be done for BT, the remaining balance will not allow to BT again. Please correct me if I'm wrong... blush.gif

its based on 80% of available CL, so yes, he will be able to do the second BT.

80% of available CL, not 80% of your CL.

Done it and BT approved.

Hi guys,

Was talking to a Aeon Credit salesperson earlier in Jusco and I mentioned to him that many people are having problems using IBG to transfer funds. He gave me the below leaflet with instructions on how to do IBG via m2u, which seems different from the one described here using citibank as beneficiary bank. Anyone tried this? Existing users of m2u should start from step 4 onwards.

actually if you don't mind to pay the fees imposed by m2u and cimclicks... then go ahead.

what we are discussing there is to use IBG to settle the bill , with the charges of 10 sen only for each transaction.

you can find more info on the first page , from @JCogent. I've tried that on AEON new CC , it worked.
