guys. anyone tried oversea transactions with watami?
my aeon visa is giving me amazing exchange rate that is lower than rates published in visa website even at 0% admin fee.
example i made a transaction on 10/11 at new zealand which was only posted on 11/11. i can see the effective rate been 2.655 while the rate for myr to nzd is about 2.66+ for both dates at visa website!
this is amazing if the same rate applies fot watami which offer 3% rebates

too much loan?
weird that they reject you on the basis of more than 2 cards, the only time i got rejected by SC was that all my CC were less than 2 years old

QUOTE(hcstwb @ Dec 3 2013, 11:49 AM) I have no prob. Though it took like 2 weeks time. Got my watami card last weekend, pump petrol and suddenly an sms said I have spent RM200 on petrol. Well, after clarified with CS, seem it is normal. I do not have this when I use Maybankard 2 cards and OCBC Titanium. this is a norm, try passing your CC to the pump counter the fella will surely ask you how much you want. They cannot authorize the pump without an amount thus all CC transaction at the pump they will pre-authorize RM200 and work out how much you actually pump later. Maybank and OCBC are smart by not confusing their client, cutting corner but smart This post has been edited by bearbear: Dec 3 2013, 12:20 PM

QUOTE(sj0217 @ Dec 21 2013, 10:30 AM) As long as BT amount are not exceed 80% of credit limit, right? 80% of available credit limit at any time. Example CL is 10k and u have 8k outstanding, you still can do BT for 1.6k (80% of 2k) = total outstanding becomes 9.6k upon approval. This post has been edited by bearbear: Dec 21 2013, 05:45 PM

QUOTE(crusher @ Dec 22 2013, 11:42 PM) They prefer to have EPF statement AND 3 months payslip actually. I was told by the CS in AEON Credit Jusco. They only took my EPF statement on the spot, this can't be the reason why he has been rejected.

QUOTE(celaw @ Dec 23 2013, 10:46 AM) Let say I have 10k Credit Limit and don't have any outstanding. I can do 8k BT for the first time right? After it being approved, my Outstanding will be 8k. Then I can do 1.6k BT the next day? yes on the issue of pay slip vs EPF, i think nowadays the bank lean their preference towards EPF. Experience with OCBC and Citibank - they can't be bothered with pay slip even when i have it available for them and only need the EPF which is printed on the spot.

QUOTE(1282009 @ Dec 23 2013, 11:19 AM) Interesting reading this thread. I think like most of you, I'm currently also using ocbc titanium cash rebate card. Since it has stopped giving out 5% cb, am looking for alternative. Looks like this aeon watami suits me just nice. Will apply this before year end. But 1 point i recalled, for the ocbc card, they will credit rm50 yearly to us if our yearly spending is over rm10k. Correct me if i am wrong. We can use that to offset the yearly service tax. If that's true, good to retain this card if monthly spending is a lot (eg. >2.5k) since aeon card is capped at rm150 cb. If not mistaken that RM50 benefit for spending 10k yearly with OCBC is gone with the 5% as well.

QUOTE(sj0217 @ Dec 23 2013, 11:24 PM) But BT 8k is already used of 80% out of 100% (10k), how come still able to do the second BT?? 80% of available CL, not 80% of your CL. Done it and BT approved.
