Getting a WATAMI is harder than I thought.

The staff at Sunway branch wasn't aware of the process for existing customer (with AEON GOLD VISA CARD) to apply for additional card.

At first told me just need to call to switch card, insist one customer can only hold one card and can't be done in branch, i know this is bullsh!t as there are forumers here holding multiple cards.

So I called CS on the spot, was told need to do a fresh application, straight away passed the call to the officer who told me to call CS and let them settle.
Then the officer called his senior to verify, at last filled up the application form and photo copy everything, but EPF machine is down yesterday, so need to go again today.

Mana tau it's still down today, so once again I left with disappointment

good thing is that i didn't expect they offering a free doll for card application, but i just told them to keep it as i have no use of it. loool

you can choose aeon rm10 cash voucher or the doll as the gift.

On the back of the AEON Watami statement, the instructions for paying using Interbank GIRO (IBG) states that 789 should be added to the account number followed by 16 digit card number. The receiving bank is Citibank.

Has anyone tried it? Does it work? If this works, it costs us only 10 sen via Interbank GIRO to pay the AEON Watami balance.

It doesn't work for WATAMI.... Failed after IBG testing with 789<16-digit WATAMI CC No.> and <16-digit WATAMI CC No.>

I'm lucky to have free IBG to perform these "tests"

I called up AEON's call centre and they asked me to check with my bank to see why IBG cannot go through!! Don't they realize the problem is between AEON and Citibank??

To put it bluntly, AEON CS agents are "very stupid". Basically AEON Credit has not updated Citibank with WATAMI's account number format.

. Looks like this problem is not going to get solved if they do not even realize what is wrong.

Has anyone tried escalating the problem using the channel attached? I will give it a shot if no one has tried yet

Hi, if i apply for Aeon Gold card, is it comes with 0% balance transfer for 6 moths? Or must apply for Watami only? Some booth still offering fridge but some booth says already discontinue, which is true? And the say the free give have to wait unit May for delivery. true?

0% bt is for all type of aeon cc.

Opps, another question, why Aeon dont have Platinum card? What will be the maximum credit limit for Gold card since i intended this card for BT?

no platinum at the moment. but the credit limit won't be low for their classic/gold. it depends on your salary anyway.

IC, because long time did not hold a gold card and the agent told me CL limit can up to max rm50,000 of 3 X salary amount. Imagine a gold card with rm50,000 CL. Look odd nowaday.

doesn't matter whether it's a classic/gold/platinum/etc. as long as it has good features/benefits and has enough credit limit for your monthly expanses then no problem.

After all the hassle, I applied at AEON Taman Equine this afternoon.
On the spot gave me the Watami dessert voucher, but no free gift/free RM10 cash voucher...

ya, watami dessert voucher they will give. but the doll or free rm10 cash voucher is depend on their promotion period. normal time doesn't have.
