ALCATEL One Touch is giving local customers two more choices when it comes to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system powered smartphones with the launched of its Explore 997D and Insight 993D recently.

To ensure faster, smoother and better user experience, the higher-end 997D has been equipped with 1GHz dual core processor with 1GB of RAM. Users can check out for themselves the device's capability in running fast moving game by launching the preinstalled Asphalt 6 racing game, said the company.

The device also boasts a liquid-resistant feature thanks to its P2i liquid repellent coating that protects from effects of water.

Its other features include a brilliant 4.3in WVGA TFT (800 x 480pixels) display; an integrated 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, autofocus, touchfocus and face detection features; a VGA front camera for video chat; and a dual SIM support with dual standby option.

Meanwhile, the sleek 993D has a 4in WVGA screen and runs on a 1GHz processor with 512MB of RAM for a smooth Android experience, according to the company.

Its 5-megapixel back camera offers LED flash and digital zoom function. Also included is the VGA front-camera, which is perfect for video chats.

The 997D ships with 1GB of built-in storage while, the 993D has 512MB - which, both can be expanded via the built-in microSD card slot. The company has also
included a 2GB MicroSD as well as a complimentary screen protector in the package.

The 997D and 993D retail for RM799 and RM599 respectively.
