TF2 was one of the early Valve's title to adapt micro-transactions within the game so you can say the items in the game and depending on the rarity will much likely cost more than DOTA2 items.

it has been a while since i last play tf2 for fun, else every week just idle for item drop and wait for special stuff to drop

I really enjoy TF2 very much. It is my 2nd game on steam after CS: Source. It is by far one of my favourite multiplayer game and different classes require teamwork to win a game.

Too bad I got Oblivion GOTY already. :/

Same. I still prefer the classic CS or CSS to CSGO. There are still more players on old CS than the new CS GO tho

how do you idle in the game? o.o just stand there? lol

Idle & be killed, check sometimes to confirm item you got. There is a map made specially for idling & achievement.
