QUOTE(Noobdao @ Jan 12 2013, 03:01 PM) Is it necessary 10k km must do alignment and tayar exchange, means change from behind to front....Rm65 le....Quite expensive to let SC do, but he said that no warranty if outside tayar shop do for it>?Is it the truth? PROTON with their warranty-threat. They should come up with better documentation of their warranty. According to the service book, all 3 years warranty except wear and tear items. Power Window 10 years. |

just finished doing door rubber seal for my gaga.
my observation: - minimal to none improvement of outside sound. - nice sound when opening and closing the door. almost same sound and suction effect on satria neo r3 tested in the showroom. - door a little bit hard to close. need to slam a little bit. - rear door hard to open. I need to pull the door lever all the way before the door open. this applies to all two rear doors. front door dont have this problem. I am afraid my passenger will unfortunately break my door lever. I dont have any idea how the rubber can affect this, as the mechanism for door opening is all mechanical. |

QUOTE(coolkwc @ Jan 13 2013, 02:51 PM) seems like I need to wait few weeks for the rubber to soften. by the, still got extra big D rubber after applying for all 4 doors. Want to make double layer but it starts raining. maybe next week. btw, any improvement regarding your outside air intake filter diy? |

QUOTE(coolkwc @ Jan 13 2013, 03:04 PM) sorry, mislook. glad that solved the problem. Thinking just to tape a piece of cloth at the intake under windshield, as your DIY beyond my level. Btw, if your sponges are soaked with water, after few days dont they will smell nasty? |

QUOTE(coolkwc @ Jan 13 2013, 03:35 PM) Very hard to explain here, u have to dismantle the panel and observe urself, u will know the sponges will not soaked with water for long time. I plan to tape a cloth outside, but the the car will look hideous.Ur u tape a cloth there? U have to dismantle the panel if u want to put the cloth inside. How to open the panel? Just pry it open? Do I need to prepare some clips in case some clips are broken? Where can I find the clip? Man, thats a lot of questions. |

If install, void car warranty? suitable for FLX CVT If you send your car for warranty claim, just remove it. They will never know, unless you tell them. |

QUOTE(Samurai X @ Jan 13 2013, 07:53 PM) Last time friend bought a basic BLM without reverse sensor. after sales service by proton sucks! When he ask PESC if he could install reverse sensor outside, he was told, it will void the gearbox and electrical parts related to the reverse sensor, including rear light My story regarding door problem. The front edge of the door somehow touches the fender especially when opening the door at slope. Went to KULIS Auto (authorised SC) for three times to fix it. 1st visit - the mechanic said, he cannot do the repair, need to leave the car for one day because they need to dismantle the door. 2nd visit - I left the car for the whole day. During the car pick-up, the head mechanic told me everything was fixed. I happily walked to my car and tested the door. Same problem!! Went to their office back, and the mechanic calmly told me the door was not actually done. He was not well informed by his subordinates. He said, I need to leave the car for two days. They need to replace the door hinge. The hinge needs to be ordered first, lead time around two weeks. He said, he will call me once the item is there. No phone call from him I received. 3rd visit - Left the car for 20k service. Highlighted about the door problem. He said, ok will look into that. At the end of the day, the problem cannot be fixed also. He said, send the car some other times, we do the door only. I asked how long. Only one day. I donno lah, I suspect he is just messing with me. Last time I also complained about the air cond vent. He said he already fixed it by replacing the torn sponge. I personally look at the sponge before and after the so-called fix, everything is status quo. Actually, really getting sick of this attitude. However, will maintain service with them because of engine warranty and especially CVT gearbox. No choice |

QUOTE(zeone @ Jan 13 2013, 08:25 PM) Understand yr dilemma, Bro... Lets hope for the best. Btw, this make me want to cjange cvt oil at 30k instead of at 60k, so that the cvt will last longer (provided the sc actually change oil while I was away, not just charge me for nothing). Their attitude makes me want to see with my own eyes that yhey are actuqlly doing what they charge meFeel most Bros are caught in such "between the devil & the deep blue sea" kinda situation...a sort of Hobson's Choice? However, sometimes wonder if SCs can somehow weasel their way out of CVT claims...later on...? |

QUOTE(calvin_kenni @ Jan 13 2013, 08:31 PM) yea agreed with the siput-ness.. I wish i have the luxury of going to COSE for qarrabty claim.last time it took me 2 months to get my keys replaced, and that includes making 3 phone calls to "usher" them to get the parts And this SC also ask me go other SC to claim my rear brakes, but ok lah coz 2S SC kan.. maybe the parts very slow to be shipped to this SC kut.. So I'd learnt my lesson, any claims just go COSE so that u can settle fast fast.. yet to claim my rear brakes tho.. Btw, nissan sc also open on Sunday |
