QUOTE(dares @ Jan 12 2013, 01:08 AM) Less den 11 sec? That's fast. I saw some people say for the L fear is for sport mode is it? Or just he's stupid? I tot L is 1st gear? And also what is the usage for SAT button? Save fuel? Like that why don't we just put it switched on 24/7?

QUOTE(dares @ Jan 12 2013, 07:56 AM) Re the L gear, they are sorta right. This is a CVT, so the L gear is different than the one on a normal 4AT. It basically "shortens" the gear ratios and increases the RPM increment per throttle input compared to D, there your RPM climbs faster when you accelerate, giving you access to more torque sooner. The nett effect is quicker acceleration, most noticable when climbing hills. CVT has not fixed gear ratio, it's ratio adjusts according to how much torque you need. The SAT mode basically turns your CVT into a 6-spd fixed gear ratio gearbox. With the right technique and circumstances, it can help you save fuel, but most of the time you're better of keeping it off. I may sound like a ahbeng here, So if I wanna get the fastest pickup speed, I just put to L den floor it all the way right? And until I go to the speed I want let say 140kmh, so I put back to D?

QUOTE(dares @ Jan 12 2013, 11:41 AM) I won't recommend you use L until 140kph remember, CVT has no fix gear ratio, that means you get to choose how much torque (RPM) you need without regard to speed. If you need max torque, press it to 4k RPM and keep it there for max acceleration. You can reach 4k RPM in D or in L, L will allow you to reach it faster than D. For example, if you want max acceleration, shift into L, pedal to 4k RPM, then shift back into D and continue pedal action to maintain 4K. Driving in 140kph in L will kill you gearbox faster But you have to really drive a CVT to understand the concept la, theory can only tell you so much. Like that if I use D from the start also can right? Hmm.. BTW, just booked my Red saga flx se this morning. TS pls add me into the user list

QUOTE(dares @ Jan 12 2013, 03:51 PM) Can. I seldom use L also. usually overtake, climb genting, chase dugong use D dah cukup. just now test drive, i hate the brake of saga. it feels very stiff and like not much depth for u to step. for my wira, i can feel the brake very soft and u can step until very very deep. any idea how i can make the saga's brake feel softer?
