i don't use it much, i use it to watch dvd, load/eject tray and shutdown console (when im too lazy to press guide button on controller for 3 sec, LoL). its not the actual Universal media remote, its missing the numeric buttons and they're not lighted, not sold separately (only comes with JPN pack and first batch NTSC/UC premium).
the d-pad and ABXY buttons are fully functional, so could play games like hexic (but who would want to?) using the remote. you can use it to control movie playback and navigation i you connect your 360 to a windows MCE pc too but if you have MCE then you'd most probly have an MCE remote which the 360 could accept commands from. nice to have when it comes free, but i wouldn't go out and buy one just to watch dvd (i dont have xp MCE). Main thing is.. if you have a game in your 360 and you'd like to boot into dashboard instead of the game press the Media Center Button (the MS logo button)

I was wondering....
If I buy the universal remote, can I use it to control my LCD TV? I'm trying to reduce the number of romotes on my coffee table. |
