Hi guys, thought it was about time i shared my personal custom rig which i've just completed the first phase of modding. She just got back from her 'pc spa' so decided to snap some quick pics. All mods were done myself, except for the ROG grills which i ordered from nicholasteoh ( thansk nic!). quite happy with what i've achieved so far, and the casing has still got plenty of room for expansion and my further plans,

hehe, thnx for the comments guys, i call it a baby, cos its using the smallest mobo in the rog line, the gene, but i just luv it, hehe, used a mg3 before, and loving my mg5.

sleeping in the same room with her isn't scary, haha, but am hoping to change out the 4 cm fans in the lid. becos all the other fans are pretty quiet, these sound loud as heck , haha

sebenarnya, dia kutip habuk mcm casing biasa je. 'air pressure' dari system kipasnyta mengelakkam habuk dari masuk. biasa aku kena lap grill utk 4 kipas atats tu je. aku hantar pc spa tu sebab aku but adjustment last minute, dgn dremel, sekejap je dlam tu dah kena habuk, kalu pakai dgn biasa dgn atas tu tertutp, okey je

not really dude. as long as the lid is closed most of the time, the air pressure seems to keep the dust out, the problem is that its so nice to look at the mobo laid out like that, so i keep wanting to leave it open,

i think inwin was the one that pioneered the concept of using air pressure to keep dust out of an all mesh casing.

also, i use rubber caps/covers on all the empty mobo slots/ports on the mobo. plus cos she isn't on the ground she stays relatively clean,

howley fuk i did not expect this when you told me that you're building a small monster. and you are not kidding when u say that it looks awesome.

haha yeah i concur. but i think i cant buy them gtx555 frm u as nvidia is just too much hassle. sli matx boards are rare, and expensive. whereas a good cf z77 one can be had for liek rm315 new.

think i just gon cf my 7870, as i will be getting a good psu in the very near future.

no worries, not in a hurry to sell my cards anyway, cos the performance quite keng ciao already, can handle all modern games without breaking a sweat, however, am seriously thinking now of upgrading the coolers. also the cm fans which were not noisy to me before have to be changed cos they are louder than everything else in the rig ( those phobya 's are da bomb diggidy, haha).

i will say tho, using this style of casing allows me to get extremely good performance out of my h100 cos the rad is being blasted with cold air. the mobo heatsinks were getting a lil warm, so added some alu tops to em, as well as exhaust fans just above the mobo below the rad, and solved that issue.

what wattage psu u looking for btw?

hmmmm.... sorry, but no matter how many time I see this thread I couldn't find any worklog. only pictures of finished product which is unique and nice. It would be better if the worklog are really here.

erm... so shud the thread be moved to the main casings fourm? maybe a mod can help out?

he has not been on9 since 30 dec so I think there won't be a mod moving threads anytime soon. Plus if he thinks it's not worklog worthy, then you move, other than that, it will just remain here.

looking at sst st60f-p full modular 600w psu, got it for quite cheap, and after trading in my old modular unit, the damage is less than one fine dining session with dearest wife. win.

those phobyas r any good? as some of my frends did say that as compared to noiseblockers, better get NB fans. but if u can find stuck better get gentel telepon la hehe

i think for led rad fans they are the best. they are not as quiet as NB fans ( marginally louder) anyway performance in mysetup is awesome. 4 of them on my h100 keeps my naughty 3770k at 4.6ghz .


if ur talking about gentle typhoon i think its overhyped, for that price you are better off buying Noctua F12 PWM. they aren't available in m'sia but can buy them of the shelf in singapore ( dunno why m'sian suppliers don't carry this model) however even with the exchange rate they come out a lil cheaper then new gentle typhoons. they're my dream rad fans actually....... i'll prolly have enough cash by march april to buy a set of 4, however corsairs's new line of rad fans will come out with leds arnd the same time so might get poisoned by my supplier to buy those, haha

kadang kala kalau rasa terlalu merah, kebanyakan led tu blh diitutp ( sama dgn lampu kipas phobya. nanti besok amik gambar dgn lampu dia semua off).

dah jual bro. memang aku bagi 3 biji tu dgn harga runtuh, haha. budak yg beli tu memang beruntung. kalau pakai kat rad 360mm memang best. bagi aku kalau nak buat push-pull setup utk rad 240mm, dn nak lampu led, phobya option paling bagus. ada yag lebih bagus performance tetapi tak nampak cantik/takde led/ atau lebih bising.

sebenarnya terpluang kepada setup component dengan sistem wc. cara saya pakai, perf dia dah bagus dah utk kegunaan saya. advantage yang saya tak sangka dalah betapa senyap kipas ni dari kipas biasa. sebelum ni saya tak kisah tentang bising, nak perf je, tapi sejak pakai phobya ni memang terasa kipas lain tu ada bising. ingat mungkin beli 4 biji lagi dari ezzydamp kalau dia ada kot,

hehe, thnx bro, yg tu custom make. tak plan nak buat benda tu sebenarnya, tapi bila rig ni hampir nak siap phase 1, dpat mouse naga epic. benda tu ada plak charger dock so saya start terpikir mana plak nak pasang. kat atas dah tak boleh sebab tak dah pasang custom hp mount dgn usb port ( bila dock hp saya kat sini boleh monitor proc punya temp wirelessly dgn coretmep software, )

hujung minggu ni nak bukak dan buat improvement kepadanya, masa tu akan ambil pic yg lebih detail utk yg nak belajar dna buat sendiri. bila buat tu, worklog ni akan bermula.

yg lucu benda tu murah je nak buat sendiri. ingat siap pasang aku keluar rm25 je kalu include harga cat wakakaka

There are three section in the competition, only tower mod n cooler mod need cooler master product.

got a scratch build plan, but not so soon. will only start it around april i guess. for now just gonna keep modding this baby until i sell it/she's complete then will reassess her future,
