I mean the car itself is underpowered. I think they too focused on making it a city car rather than long distance.

With excise & import duties waived and at rm149500 , 2 airbags, fabric seats, optional multimedia navigator this squarish van is way overpriced. Can't wait to see more competition to bring it 'down to size' to reflect its true value.

Even leather seats are optional... but ok la i'm not big fan of leather seats anyway.

just test drove the mpv at jalan ipoh branch. feel pretty bumpy at second row seat. weird digital meter. cheap plastic everywhere. seems like all parts are source from china.

I think only import duties are waived. not Excise duties. In malaysia all car have to pay Excise duties unless ur at langkawi or labuan.

i also test drive just now. its spacious. alot of leg room. i dont feel very bumpy even seat at last roll. Yup the digital meter is cyber. overall i was quite impress and i book one d

I just feel that TCM is greedy and didn't pass this tax benefits to consumer becos there is no competition. I believe the govt will extend this duty exemption for hybrid vehicle to only CKD next year and hopefully by then price should come down and there wii be more competition from other brands. Just look at JazzHybrid and AudiA6 Hybrid.

Went to see it last night..

My personnel observation:-

Good:-
1. Keyless push start
2. Digital meter
3. Roomy compare to Toyota Innova, Wish, Or maybe same room space as Estima
4. 2 power sliding door
5. CVT gear box
6. Fuel saving(according to manufacture)
7. Variable seat configuration according to individual need

No Good:-
1. All plastic interior, look so so on the build quality
2. All seat is quite hard
3. Second row center seat is not comfortable due to the center slider arm rest
4. Third row seat is quite low for adult, but ok for children
5. No HID
6. No front sensor
7. No steering volume control. No convenient to control volume every time by hand reach

Not able to test drive due to quite late already and the SA ask me come over other day for test drive.

My conclusion is nothing is perfect on every car design. If this is your choice go for it.

If you dont mind recond car with higher price and with better spec and better design then go for it.

The decision is always on your hand..

Dude, let's make it fair a bit to others, Toyota Prius selling price in Japan is around RM65K, Prius C is around RM54K and Insight is around RM60K, and Serena is around RM90K, so you can calculate yourself whether the Serena Hybrid is worth to buy or not. If people can accept the Prius price is Malaysia, I have no idea why someone would keep complaining the Serena is expensive lar, Tan Chong greedy lar.......

For LOL, you are using Toyota to compare, don't you know both are bloodsu-kers lah. And we are talking about tax exemption here. See how much Honda Jazz Hybrid can be reduced to if one is not so greedy.

Test drive for second round 2day with my queen. No feel of underpower at all. Just noticed tat Idling start stop never activated along 5 km trip. Could be the air cond keeps on running under the hot sun

Bro, Jazz Hybrid if not mistaken, the selling price in Japan is cheaper than Insight, so RM89k++ is ok what while the Insight is close to RM98k.

So u already booked one? What calour u choose?

LOL, why don't you go to search the Honda Jazz Hybrid actual selling price in Japan, convert back to RM is around RM54K, so are you thinking that the Jazz Hybrid selling price is Japan is RM80K and in Malaysia is selling at RM89,900.00??????

Not yet decide to take or not, SA told if introduce 1 person they will give rm 500 commission.
Seems got plenty of units left, no urgency to book immediately .

Anyone received any additional discount for this Serena other than those advertised officially (2.38% loan, navigation/reverse camera unit, free service 3 times, free PA)?

i try to ask addition discount but fail. i only get a full tank and full car carpet.
