Err...not normal, I think.

Did you stuck at 9.9km/l for a full tank of petrol? Or did you accidentally put your car on sport mode.

It is normal if you have just fill up your tank and drive less than 50km. However, the number should rise as you drive further and the meter gets more accurate.

Even town driving can get me 11km/l. On the highway, I can get as high as 14.8km/l on a full tank average. A full tank on the highway can get you over 700km.

U probably wd want to do a reset on ur avg mileage counter n test it again

yup.. u need to reset it.. mine was 8.9km/l .. but when i drove to sg and back it was 12.5km/l.. after back in kl drove for a few days it went back to 9.9km/l looks like it's taking the average of total distance.. so.. need to reset..

From what I understand, the auto idling signal turns on and off intermittently depending on whether the car is in a situation suitable for its operation, is it so?

Yup it was blinking non stop.. after i stopped the car and restart again.. it's still blinking non stop..
After waited for a while.. and restart again.. no more blinking.. and it's totally no more auto idling lite for 1-2 days..

When I first drove the car, it show 7.8km/l and after that I made a trip to Malacca. Then it achieved 10.8 km/l but till now it is averaging 9.9-10.2km/l. My mileage is 17++km and had my first 1000km service already.

It can't get 12-14km/l fuel mileage. I think maybe we can get 12km/l only if we travel a long distance that get you to 14km/l and when you are back to city driving, it can still average around 12km/l.

But for almost pure city driving, it's averaging 10km/l. Or should we (for those getting 9-10km/l) go to service centre and ask them to reset the engine till we get around 13-14km/l?

Another thing is, I can smell smoke coming into my car once a while and every time I go through bump, my rear seat have sound, yeck yeck sound. Anyone has the same problems?

Have not faced the 'yeck yeck sound' for backseat. Probably it gas not been positioned properly. However, the sound insulation is not so top notch. But sound insulation is definitely much better compare the sound insulation for vios n city while driving on highway.

I want ask all the owner here, when do you do your first service? 1st 1000km or 1 month? I ask the salesmen, he ask me to reach till 1000km only do first service, but now my car only 700km nia but already pass 1 st month.
should i do it now or later?

If you read properly the service voucher in the maintainance booklet, it is stated there that the 1,000km free service (labour only) is only valid before 2,000 km or 1 month, meaning that u have to use it before your car reaching 2,000 km or 1 month.

More than 1 month and not even reaching 1,000 km?! Mine 8 days and have already clock 1,000+
