QUOTE(jackbanner @ Nov 14 2013, 05:10 PM) I dont know about others but I'm satisfied with Nissan Serena. Value for money, my personal opinion though Hehe... i am also one of the happy owners too. yet to test drive Biante but so far really happy with the Serena. Personal point of view, from the spec sheet, Serena lose in term of no control knob for music volumn and channel control, slightly wider tyre size(205 vs 195), no front sensor, On the other hand, Serena win in terms of versatility of 2nd and 3rd row seats (biggest advantage, for me lah), electronic control rear air-cond, cruise control, real push-start button, Look is subjective but I prefer the tall boxy Serena look and overall package. |

QUOTE(jackbanner @ Dec 6 2013, 02:07 PM) It depends on your need. Of course if u wait long enough, newer model with better features will be introduced. I also believe sooner or later the government will reduce the vehicles tax to a reasonable rate. But if u ask me as to the best mpv which is value for money in Malaysia as of today, serena is the model. Really satisfied with it. My children love it. |

My Serena was unfortunately got nailed in the front tyre, as there is no spare tyre but a can of liquid being pumped to the affected tyre so that can temporarily move again.
Now trying to get another new liquid can but was quoted by Tan Chong for RM200 Alternatively, any idea if Kena again, can I use my other car spare tyre? Noted is 185/80/16 (Accord). Can use? |

QUOTE(frank76 @ May 6 2014, 06:35 PM) Maybe you can try buy those tyre repair kit that the tyre shop use to repair leak? I buy 1 set d and its easy to use. Just take out the nail and poke in the sticky thing. the use the car pump to pump it back. I try before. its fast and easy. Gee!! Thank you so much and surely this is a good option.Tyre still holding till now. The set you can buy at Aeon or hardware store. less than RM20 and come with 5 stick repair sticky thing. Based on your experience, it is not so difficult afterall. And, do you need to take out the whole tyre and poke in the sticky thing? |

QUOTE(cybersmiley @ Nov 4 2014, 08:12 AM) Hi again to everybody here... Congrats and welcome to Serena family. Got my CBU Serena last Friday. Done V-Kool tinting and added 2 tweeters to make the sound alive. Wrapped my headlights with transparent stickers (blue stickers not allowed by JPJ). Waiting for the rear spoiler and luggage net from one of our members. Guess everybody here are family man....but I'm happy being a bachelor with a family MPV. Fits my bigger size and I like the lots of space feeling. Plus driving the Serena makes me feel like Han Solo with his Millennium Falcon. Hehe. New CKD 2014 Serena is out this week (I think). So for soon to be owners, check it out first. For me...I prefer Japan QC. Higher standards. Plus....I feel very irritated that the back A/C is using lever type. Low class, man! And for those going to Legoland soon, enjoy. For me..that is a kid's place. So..perhaps next time. Adios Serena brothers....Drive Safely! Agree as to take CBU over CKD. No confidence in Tan Chong as I experienced with Livina. |

QUOTE(cybersmiley @ Nov 5 2014, 09:30 AM) @jackbanner & @Antzfield, Wah!! you surely know how to make your lovely Miss Rena looks fabulous Thank you for your warm welcome. Yup...less confidence in the CKD unit. Someone told me that they have a lot of Bangladeshis working in TCM Assembly Plant. I mean...if they are Malaysians, still OK. Proton or Perodua standards but Bangladeshis....MAN! That is worrying. Anyway...the new CKD will come in local paint as Almera or Teana. Nice looking on the outside but not so well put together. Some of our members are selling Ori parts from Japan and Indo. I plan to get most of them to make my Miss Rena pretty. If you guys have good beauty tips, do share here. QUESTION: 1/ Anyone familiar with Lacquer Coating? Good for long run? Price and how long need to take to get it done? 2/ Anyone went for undercarriage coating? Antirust? Any ideas? 3/ Any special treatment for your Miss Rena? Do share guys..... Many thanks. what ori parts you planning to get? I only did Sierra Glow coating and yet to add any thing yet .... |

QUOTE(dchk @ Nov 27 2014, 11:40 AM) Just wondering for 2013 CBU owners, did anyone try to ask Tan Chong if you can change/modify to spare tyre instead or repair kit. I heard someone mention he bought the tyre bracket from Japan for RM1K. Yes, I also looking for any simple modification to include the spare tyre. Any one done it? |

QUOTE(dchk @ Feb 22 2015, 03:03 PM) OMG, never thought of this if it does happen and what are we going to do? Hope SC can advise on this. So far mine has claimed on the steering thing, where it is not smooth when making a turn. Really suspicious even on Nissan's CBU quality. Good thing is Nissan SC never give me trouble in making claims. It is surely a nice car especially ferrying the entire family on the highway and travelling. |
