Do expect some legendary Tan Chong cost cutting measures flex.gif

I think this is CBU from Japan, so Tan Chong can't do any cost cutting!

TCM sure profit a lot from tis model. checked the japan nissan site u will get these info.

Cheapest Serena S-Hybrid¥ 2,598,750 =rm 82,461.31 Highest Spec Serena S-Hybrid (Rider Black Line)¥ 2,924,250 = rm92,789
So where is the Green Tax rebate on this , or rebated into TCM's own pocket lah...

From TCM web site preview, its coming with the most basic spec, no on wheel media/radio control and without panaromic sun roof.

Because why they removed it?

Unless you wanna prefer for Japanese HU and show with arigator text to same specs like fully imported like Toyota cars.

Dont tell me they have to remove it due to different HU...

If they pro enuf, any region should have separate and compromised HU.

They remove the audio control is one thing. The feature can be used even on some china HU.
Skin deep we didnt know what else they remove.

*Hint: Elantra have tweeter casing, but no tweeter inside when they deliver the car icon_rolleyes.gif

Don't worried too much of feature.. Unlike the cruse control can't add anymore.

For me I am happy, due to fully imported from direct japan, if I am too might about the extra feature then 100% I would pay for engrand.

Bro, you have to add in the AP, shipping fee, sales tax..... cannot compare the raw car price. If you compare this way, In Malaysia no any one car that is worth to buy because all the distributor will get a lot of profit!

Since this new serena looks like inflated kenari, might as well take new ssangyong stavic. At least its cheaper (117K), seats 11 (8 seat will be very spacious), and full of features..

Plus diesel engine.

What you wanna expected?

Innova is made in Indonesia vs Japan.

Innova no hybrid and what else?
Innova heavy FC and lowerest RV too.

Main thing for my consideration is space, coz need to fetch a lot of relative (adult + kids) , New Serena showroom still don''t have car to display yet............guess Innova is bigger right ?

As commented by most forumers in Hong Kong who receive this new c26 earlier this year, the fc is around 10km/l to 12km/l only. Not as efficient as quoted by nissan japan official statement of 15.2km/l. This is mostly due to hotter climate in HK which reduce the iddle start stop efficiency I.e. engine would always on to drive the air cond. Can't imagine how much left the shybrid saving when its in Malaysia....
take my word, dont expect the 15.2km/l to be achieved anywhere in Malaysia

At 150k there are plenty of choices of good quality cars though it may not an MPV. The truth why poeple choose recond mpv like alphard or estima may not 100% becos of the need of space but becos of good features offered within.
With such strip off and that price range, TCM may not attract much potential buyers...

Believe very soon TCM will introduce CKD ver. with more ripping off at lower price..
Cos gov policy will end the hybrid duty exemption by introducing more tax relief for local assembled hybrid car.
Not worried too much about price hike for tis SERENA S-Hybrid, gov now is under pressure to reduce car price .
Eventually we may get other car/ MPV with less price or better spec (if car dealers not willing to reduce price).
The choice is ours as consumer. We reserves the right to refuse the products thats having to many levels of exploitation.
