Quick question here, would like to transfer >RM30,000 from my Maybank acc to another 3rd party Maybank acc, what are my option other than bankers cheque/bank draft?
The recipient is very far from me.
IINM, online transfer limit 5k per day.

Cash deposit over the counter into his account... how much also can.

Go counter withdraw money from your account and straight away deposit into his account.

Normal branch i think max 50K, home branch unlimited. Check with your bank.

The person you deposit money will see the description under - Nobook counter deposit

Large amount of money transfer is dangerous, make sure the person you transfer to is 101% trust able.

This is correct. Interbranch > 25K/day, home branch > everything to the last cent

no problem for me to transfer to foreign bank via TT RM50k , and not home branch

Eh.. CIMB can withdraw 100K inter-branch.. why so much difference?

CIMB is 50K/day, unless they have recently changed it to RM100K/day. Some foreign banks provide unlimited interbranch withdrawal for certain account types. Every bank has a different policy i guess

Actually don't even need to withdraw your money and then bank in to the person. Just instruct the teller to do a TT, fill up the form and wait a few minutes. I have done transfers of RM60k and if I do it before 3pm, I can do a "rentas" transfer and the person at the other end will receive it on the same day. Just add RM9 if I remember correctly.

Just fill up a withdrawal slip (your details) and deposit slip (receipient's detail), then pass to the counter staff
There's a 1-day float for amount > RM20k (i.e. Recipient can use the fund the next day)

Ops sorry. Last time I did a Bank Draft from not home branch and max is 25K.

Not relevant. Since TS is doing same bank transfer, why should use RENTAS?

TS can fill up withdrawal slip and then redeposit. No physical cash involved.

Go to the bank withraw the money then straight away bank in to the desired account. One short do over the counter...

IBG company can transfer 20k??

I don't know about 2013, but as for today, basically if you go to the branches, you can transfer interbank to third party without limit and immediately.

try check ur M2U settings, see what's the limit available.

interestingly, mine showing RM100k limit for IT/IBG/3rd Party transfer. RM50k for DuitNow.

Confirm here too. I can set RM100k transfer limit. Maybe because I have Maybank Premier-1 account.

I sure wish I have RM100k in my account.

So you can transfer out RM 150k to other bank?

Never try that before . Only found out the transfer limit last night. The most I tried is about RM30k for GIRO.

I also hv 100k limit for 3rd party, GIRO & Duitnow instant transfer. Mine just a Kawanku savings account. Maybe high limit cos of my e-FD placements lol.

Today i did a M2U 3rd party transfer of RM 50k in one-shot, the pdf receipt shows "Pending" status....wtf same bank transfer also got float ah?
