I am experiencing battery drain; 10% in 3 hours.
Is it normal? 3G (H+) seems to be a huge battery drinker

QUOTE(benny888 @ Jan 10 2013, 11:10 AM) If your phone is not being used in the 3 hours than the drain is high thanks ben. will try to do a fresh install of monx and perseus. I got a feeling I fark up my battery after charging it with my ipad 1 charger.Mine with 3G always on and background FB notifications, email updates and tweeter updates , average drain is most 1%/hour and average is 0.5%/hour I am now on Monx DLL7 /Perseus 29 kernel Infact , my battery drain quite similar trend across most roms i have tested to date Install betterbatterystats to see what apps is waking up your phone |

I bought my Grey AP at RM1700 from direct D xD
Btw in regards to the battery issue i found this Found out via BBS that fast dormancy is causing alot of kernal wake locks Dug further and found this http://eng.samaanetwork.com/?p=18517 this poor soul (malaysian s3 owner) tried 7+ diff methods to trouble shoot his battery woes. But its a good read. 1) use *#0011# 2) look at UMTS RCC stats 3) see if it switches rapidly between idle, dch, patch if it does fast dormancy isnt working Our Note 2 support fast dormancy; and our telco's do as well. He basically enabled data roaming and he says it has sorted his battery and wakelock issues. Me on the other hand, I just disable my data roaming instead and the switching stopped. Will monitor and report back! |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 10 2013, 04:08 PM) What is Fast Dormancy, an app or something? Same as mine. Rapid switching means fast dormancy isn't working.. After switching off data roaming it went idle. My batt still remaining at 100%. Would be at 99% by now.I checked before and after I ticked on Data Roaming. Before I switched, the IDLE mode lasted longer but once I ticked on it, it switched quite rapidly. QUOTE(civic98 @ Jan 14 2013, 07:19 PM) LOL.. Responds here as expected. Anyway doesn't matter, as I said clearly, I just need to vent out my frustration with my Note 2. iFag forum is not here. Maybe your reading comprehension has failed you, but this thread is dedicated to the Note 2.And for those cheapos offering me mere hundreds for it, well you can keep your few cents, i dont need them. And for those asking why am i still using, well i just own it, as well as a iPhone and also a Blackberry. And i am using all 3 at the same time. And I am 100% confident with my review being objective and straightforward. It is unfortunate to those who cant accept that individuals have rights to their own view, as much as any forum member here has the right to post. And well, the only reason many of you guys here automatically redirects the comparison to iPhone/iOS even when it wasnt mentioned as so, guess you guys do know the inferiority of the Note 2/Android. |
