Hi civic98,
sorry to hear that you are frustrated with note 2, i'm an iphone user since iphone 2G and the last iphone i used was iphone 4 and the reason is purely i got bored with iPhone hardware as well as the iOS... i don't hate it, but i just got bored and i think it's a great platform for any new smartphone user...
but having moved to note 2 for a week now, i am loving every minute of it and i was expecting some frustration as well when i decided to go for note 2 because of the complaints i heard from my friends. But to my surprise, Android was not really that hard to use at all and to be honest, i'm getting used to the back button and when i try using back the iphone 4 (which i have passed to my family member), there were a couple of times when i tried to press the 'back' button on an iPhone...so i guess to me, i really find that back button really really useful...
So let me try to go over your points below and provide my own input...
Resolution is not as good as iphone but then it is very very good enough for typical user. I don't really have complain on the resolution as i find the note 2 resolution very good enough, just that i find the color temperature on iphone is cooler and the note 2 screen is kinda warm and yellowish to me when put side by side. But when using note 2 on its own, i have no problem at all, just don't put side by side and compare, this area, iphone 4 or 5 win hands down but not by a long shot...just enough...
On the touch screen, i never have any problems with it and it works very well so far. On the S-Pen, i learn something that if you're a left hander and tried to use on right hand setting, you will notice that the input is offset a bit...so you have to change the S-pen setting according to which hand you are using... if you use the wrong setting, i think you will get the wrong setting about 90+ % of the time, which happens to me when i demo on my friend's Note 1 previously. I don't have issues with pin to zoom as well.
Next, for the button, again, i don't encounter any issues with the ring volume button. I thought the placement of the volume button is around the same area as the iphone?
Touch sensitive keys, well, i already made my point above, i find it really useful. even the touch button on the lower left is pretty useful and allows you to access settings pretty fast and easy. I really do prefer this on top of the only 'home' button available on iphone.
On the processor and memory, strange, i never really have problems using up the memory before, all the applications start smoothly and well for me....not sure if that's because you install wayyyy more apps than mine or not...but once a while...i'll just check the open apps and end the active apps...and clear the memory ram but not because my phone is lagging, i just decided to check the status and monitor....but never once i saw my note 2 memory is fully utilized...
Camera, i agree with you here, the biggest thing i missed is the camera, iphone's camera is the undisputed champ here...so i really do miss this one...
Browser, i'm using the Chrome browser and i just love it...fast...no issues...double tap and it will zoom on the paragraph.... the columns....it works for me...i'm trying it again now as i'm typing this...so not sure what's wrong with your browser?
On the connectivity, strange...i have my iphone 4 and note 2 using digi line and put at the same location and iphone 4's connection is really slow even though both are using same Digi's network... i even go to office and ask my other friends who are using iphone4 and iphone5 respectively and confirm that Note 2 can detect HSDPA speed and iPhone only detects 3G speed and based on speedtest result, note 2 is capable of faster speed...i'm not technical expert here but the data from the test result speaks for itself....
On the apps... i agree it's not 100% the same as iOS but i do get most of the apps commonly used by me and they are all available on Google play store... i do one major game i'm playing which is FIFA 13 but that's the only one so far....
So until today, i'm still really in love with the note 2 (same like those who just fall in love and fresh pak tor la) but when i tried holding back iphone 4 or even iphone 5, i don't think i'll go back to iPhone anytime soon as i find the Android experience a pretty enjoyable one and also the note 2 hardware and design rocks bay beh!
Cheers!
p/s: i love note 2 and Android but i don't hate iOS and iPhone...iOS and iPhone5 is still a great combo but to me, i was really disappointed that Apple decided to increase 0.5" of the screen size only and the whole iOS experience is getting very boring for me.... gosh, i think this is my longest post here in lowyat ever!

Seriously. There are serious flaws with the Note 2 and Android. Having said that, i have been a keen user of Apple products, but this doesn't change the fact over complaints i have accumulated over the use of Note 2 and Android. Here's my hands on review of the Note 2 since i acquired it in Nov 2012.
Resolution of screen is just not good enough. While color is good, it just doesn't stand out. The touch screen has serious serious flaws, sensitivity is at most unpredictable. Accuracy with finger is horrible, and worse with the S-Pen. You can almost NEVER get the right position with the S-Pen. The uncontrollable sensitivity makes it almost impossible to use at times. Pinch to zoom is JUST HORRIFIC to use! Lags and it just doesn't get to the level you need!
The buttons, I can't recall how many times the ring volume was either turned down or muted due to the absolutely stupid placement of flimsy volume buttons.
Touch sensitive keys, with absolutely no practicability at all. Back button of which you could never predict what it does.
Processor and memory, well yes it does have the top of line processor and memory but it's at most good on paper only. Serious lagging and memory hog, that it is almost unusable at most times if you don't clear the memories manually. And the processor speed is just not noticeable at all. Opening apps can be lagging at most times, which other tasks, not even close to smooth. And did i mention about the heat? Play some games and you can feel the heat of back, REAL HEAT!
Camera is just lousy. And it's just stupid to disallow camera use when battery is low. At first it was just unable to use flash, and then it just totally restricts camera use.
Browser is NOT USER FRIENDLY AT ALL! Double tap and it zooms to a level not viewable for anything, it doesn't resize to the columns.
Data speed and connectivity is seriously flawed as well. Connectivity is never stable. Speed is much limited and I know for a fact it's not a issue with service provider. I have an iPhone, an iPad and the Note 2 side by side on Maxis and the Note 2 max out at 4Mbps while the other 2 goes above 10 Mbps.
Apps are just not up to standards. Most of which are developed for the sake of it. Not up to quality or practicability. Having said that I will not judge ALL the apps.
Ok i just need to vent my frustration with the Note 2. There are more other complaints i have but I just need to vent it out.
