QUOTE(sacremento @ Jan 10 2013, 04:44 PM) sorry. didnt make it clear. Tried factory reset?ok. my note 2 is rooted with stock rom n kernel. never flash any custom rom but weirdly my binary count is 1 and not 0 supposedly. after i flash the new firmware, my device status is still showing 'modified'. i can still see superSU in my apps but cant open it. i thought after unrooting superSU will uninstalled by itself. huhuhu |

QUOTE(sklchan @ Jan 10 2013, 05:55 PM) the BBS seem capture every single valid/non valid battery stat... more doesn't mean worse... I'm suspect those logged activities just simply event message rather actual hw power usage... I believe those FD wakelocks are not actually wakelocks and happen when my screen is off but device awake (example when downloading stuff or tethering) cos my device sleeps fine. Sort of like powermanager wakelocks when your phone is charging (its not actually a wakelock) |

QUOTE(tanlipseong @ Jan 10 2013, 11:36 PM) My understanding is that easiest way is using "ExynosAbuse apk" to root then do EFS Backup. This method is no longer valid if you are on 4.1.2 Malaysian Rom.In case i need to go for warranty claim, i need to unroot and reset counter before going. is this the most common method used by member here or other method? |

QUOTE(pkiensing @ Jan 10 2013, 11:39 PM) upgraded to 4.1.2 The most important about the update is it fixes the Exynos leak bug. And maybe also the emmc brick bug.one shit thing about the upgrades is the ink effect only works for S Pen... Found this from the official samsung site said only works for S Pen =.=" Not a very significant upgrades i would say... the modification on the notification area is nice.. QUOTE(tanlipseong @ Jan 10 2013, 11:42 PM) Ok, which one is most easiest and safest? and easy to revert back in case need to go claim warranty, please help, i am really confuse reading the xda site, it has link to many many other ways to do many things. I use the chenglu method. Revert is use triangle away, flash stock rom with odin, factory reset.what i want is to root the device to be able to install some app that require root. |

QUOTE(tanlipseong @ Jan 11 2013, 08:35 AM) got a question, Look at it this way, let say i root and flash to custom ROM, then one fine day, my note 2 got problem and stop working, i will not be able to flash back to stock ROM. how can i send back the set to claim warranty then? 1) If your phone cannot boot but able to get into download mode you can flash back stock rom + factory reset which should solve it and u dun need to send to service center. Problem solved. 2) If you phone cannot boot and you cannot even enter download mode (example S3 SDS cases) then Samsung won't even be able to boot it themselves, hence they would not know you are rooted. So you still get your warranty replacement. Problem solved. Edit: Fixed some grammar error before joytest comment on it. This post has been edited by antt00: Jan 11 2013, 08:47 AM |

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Jan 11 2013, 09:04 AM) Now got new issue where phone just go goes dead without reason. Sudden death but not brick by flashing..i mean. S3 have a lots of cases though Note2 only one case i heard so far. Yeah SDS seems to be surfacing in Note 2 as some of the unit uses the same emmc chip and fw version as S3. Perseus and redpill have implemented the patch for it. Also CWM need to be patch also. This post has been edited by antt00: Jan 11 2013, 09:07 AM |
