even in deep sleep, the phone still is "awake" and not like died or something or totally switched off.

i think over night reduction of 15% without charging is acceptable to me
*
15% is like too much for me.

the thing is, I was sleeping for 7 hours+ from 12am to 7am, so the phone is in deep sleep... so is the data/wifi off during that period. so no one touch the phone =.=

I just wanna figure out what is the "handleMediaEvent" thing.
*
if turn on your wifi/data....even deep sleep also will drain battery nod.gif

okay... then yes it's a bit drain if all data off... you suppose have below

5% drop from 30 mins screen on... then 5 hours data on will cost ~10% (wifi cost ~1~2% per hour, 3g will cost 2~4% per hour) then left 2% during your 7 hours sleeping (which is with data off)... still quite normal to me...  hmm.gif

Best answer is to google for it . . . . Since u said your data/wifi is off , 1 of your apps must be trying to sync thus the wakelock . Since u have wifi , y not leave it on ? Not like it's gonna consume a lot of battery . Turning off your data/wifi is worst especially when u have apps that auto sync on , for eg . Facebook . It tends to continue trying to sync yet no connection for it .
*
thanks for the explanation.

@noobie, yup, the data is off while sleeping. will check and google what is mediaEvent all about. just fyi, I didn't have any single auto syncing app ie. FB, twitter and etc. even weather forecast also I refresh myself. so just wondering why hmm.gif

no one else has "handleMediaEvent" drinking your juice like freshly squeezed orange juice? hmm.gif

no wor.... it has not been changed for the past 2 weeks or so.

the only thing I change is from Apex launcher back to our stock TouchWiz launcher.
could this be the culprit? hmm.gif

hmmm, I just found my fb in the partial wakelock, but the count is only 13, taking 0.3% only.

but the previous mentioned one is now 240 counts at 96% lol!

Looking for Note 2 telco plan. Have read the link posted in FP but not sure if still valid?

Tenure: 12 months
Low calls and SMS.
Low data usage (maybe 1GB more than enough).

Saw DiGi 48 plan, Note 2 price is RM1949, street price now RM21xx, so not sure if worth it? Maybe just grab phone outright and stick to current 28 sub-plan with no contract...

seems like 4.1.2 consumes slightly more battery compared to 4.1.1,
but it is acceptable for me

i had 1 question, whenever i want to upgrade my firmware, do i had to redo everything all over again to make the phone back to the stage before i update? i don't know whether my steps are correct or not. @.@.

1. Download firmware from samfirmware and update via Odin.
2. Root and install kernel
3. Ext2Sd
4. restore backup from titanium backup.

sometimes some apps is not running, and i had to uninstall it and re-install, is that normal?
