Hi guys

I am how many of u actually rooted ur phone? I saw most of u guys rooted it already. I'm tempted to do it as I can't get used to stock rom without those rom control function from aokp ... bt wondering is there a way to unroot it and reflash the flash counter to zero if I were to send bck for warranty?
*
Use legendk95 simplistic app to have similar aokp rom controls. Works very well. You need donate at keast us $2 to have paid version to have wide range aokp similar stuffs

Bro is it ok if i am still on CWM Recovery v6.0.1.5?
*
I highly recommend you to switch to TWRP recovery - I have posted yesterday the advantages - search for it
I discovered this excellent alternative recovery when I was using my Nexus 7 - was very impressed as is the only recovery that allows backup to external usb thumb drives, external sdcard in my Nexus 7. CWM only allows backup to internal memory of the Nexus 7. Of course there are other advantages
Just flash the TWRP zip from recovery mode

Can I install it using the goo manager app ?
*
You can try it - my success rate was 50/50 ( don't know why )
Easiest flash the zip from recovery mode and use Goo Manager subsequently to update to latest version

Yes, I knew how rooting works.. I had android for years all I rooted all of them to the max with trying 90% of the custom roms made available to the model I owned wink.gif rom controls allows us to enable/disable things that need access to root folder which requires su user grant.. such as changing all the location of the Widgets in status bar..
thanks Benny!!! I will definitely read them up bt as I glanced through.. there are 3 files to choose from to download.. which one belongs to Malaysian note 2 phn?

Download XXDLL4 v3.01 and the Free Toggle control application file
If you really need the full AOKP features , donate at least US$2 and he will email you 2 APK files
This is example his email once you donate

Changelog:

V2.6.1 -> V3
BugFixes:
Home double click now works if S-Voice was removed.
Potential fix for something that might caused some users to face the phone getting locked in landscape mode
Simplistic Control has many fixes, including the *refreshing animation* in some parts
Launching app from double click OR Long pressing the toggles will now dismiss the keyguard if no password is set.
Wifi Hotspot Toggle now uses your settings instead of "My Ap"
MultiWindow Toggle Fix (Look at new features)
Fix for toggles not positioning at the left when the scrolling animation is disabled.
Fix for Smart Rotation Toggle (Settings won't show that it's enabled due to some code missing by Samsung, but it works)
Potential Fix for NFC Toggle (Feedback needed)

New Features:

Long Press Back to Kill! But with a slight twist. When you enable this feature, the MultiWindow Toggle will change modes, and become a toggle to choose what action to perform when longpressing the back button, MultiWindow or Back to Kill!
Next Alarm in Expanded StatusBar, replaces the carrier label whenever there is an alarm. You can also use a toggle to enable entering the clock app when clicking on the alarm view.
Ink Effect: You can now choose ANY color you desire, no predefined ones, you can use the color picker and choose any color you want wink.gif.
Bluetooth toggle will now open the Bluetooth dialog.
You can now Enable/Disable toggles haptic feedback on long press.
Added ScreenShot Toggle.
Added Allshare cast Toggle.
NFC Toggle is now NFC P2P
New section! Phone app: Control Call Recording/Increasing Ringtone and choose delay after call ended.
Power Menu: Screenshot added, Negative Screen Colors toggle added
And another big mod: Custom Battery!
What is this? Well basically, you have an apk which I will provide you with, you can add ANY battery you like to it, and then install it as a simple app, choose custom battery from Simplistic Control and Voila! The battery
is there!
The apks can work on any Simplistic Framework starting from V3, and this allows to create something I like to call a "Battery Library" where someone can post a thread full of these batteries smile.gif
Ability to turn on/off statusbar alarm, bluetooth and sound icons, as well as blocking mode's icon and notification.

So should I use the .zip via CWM or .tar via odin pc? I kinda confuse if doing via CWM as how it overwrite the current recovery while using it to flash
*
Are you new to flashing
Basic stuffs here : use cwm for zip n odin or mobile odin for tar
This is standard procedure

He should take a photo n show us his Samsung sticker under battery. The details will show whether is fake
Original will have a small Samsung sticker n above Samsung logo a 8 Digit number. Fake does not have such a number. Fake sets has black charger n cables headsets

my phone restarts itself for about 5 times since my 2 months usage thus far...
today alone twice, but it wasn't the result of dropping from 2-3 cm above table...

I can't figure it out why too....
*
Auto reboot only 2 reasons - motherboard issue or combo of cracked apps . Do your own testing
Rarely is rom or kernel

u mean 'backup all user apps + system data'?
will the backup size be as big as my current memory size?
for example i've used 5gb of internal and the backup will be the equiavalent size.
*
Yes - usual backup size 2 gb+. It backup only your system data plus 3rd party apps. Any visible data in internal memory is not backup. Backup to EXTERNAL sdcard
Choose and set this option first at preferences/backup folder/ search whole device and select external sdcard
Before that, create a folder yourself : titaniumbackup in external sdcard

QUOTE(sacremento @ Jan 15 2013, 02:09 PM)
what is efs backup?

i flashed monx rom n perseues kernel.
*
When you flash monx rom , you will be asked whether you want to backup your EFS ? Did you select yes. If so , just locate the backup files and restore it. There are 2 files : efsbackup.tar.gz and efsdev-mmcblk0p3.img.gz
EFS contains information about your phone radio/baseband and IMEI info. These cannot be restored from nandroid backup
Losing EFS means going directly to service center to have it corrected. There is no software solution unless you have made a EFS backup
Losing EFS is rare case but it sometimes happen to some unlucky users - why it happen, seriously until now I have no idea
Maybe you flash 7105 perseus kernel and not 7100 ?
