all the root method is the same, just make sure it is made for the correct firmware version of ur phone

This method is no longer valid if you are on 4.1.2 Malaysian Rom.

I use the chenglu method.  Revert is use triangle away, flash stock rom with odin,  factory reset.

It works on stock kernel as well.

Triangle Away queries your kernel to see if it can do it without a reboot. Custom kernels can respond with the flash counter status and it will be shown in Triangle Away app.

Stock kernel cannot respond and needs a reboot before the counter is reset.

It should work

Look at it this way,
1) If your phone cannot boot but able to get into download mode you can flash back stock rom + factory reset which should solve it and u dun need to send to service center. Problem solved.

2) If you phone cannot boot and you cannot even enter download mode (example S3 SDS cases) then Samsung won't even be able to boot it themselves, hence they would not know you are rooted. So you still get your warranty replacement. Problem solved.

Edit: Fixed some grammar error before joytest comment on it. 

To unroot the phone before sending to service centre.
- do TriangleAway to reset binary counter back to zero.
- flash official stock firmware with PC Odin...this will unroot the phone..remove the superuser and custom CWM with one go.
- do a factory reset.
- now you're good for service centre

1. 3234 - did not stick right to the edge, leaving gluey sticky residue

Giveaway signs eg is different type of samsung sticker under battery

so danger la....dont think bout save little money than get a clone Note II...

Usually they screen will not be as nice
the buttons not as solid
the joinings wouldnt have such good tolerences

how about got to settings > about phone to check? must see at least N7100? can they clone that too?
